Has it been tweaked since AH1?

Also, have the US rockets been toned down since then too?

Umm, Did a test a month ago or so.  I know for a fact that they go atleast 10+k.

I fired one at a 2K base from 12K up straight down, I dived and followed it as close as I could, I saw it hit when I was a few thousand AGL.

But yeah, I do wish there was a bigger blast radius.  If you see some real WWII footage (which I saw today) the rockets on the IL2 could take out numerous tanks in one pass with 6 rockets.  Right now, they have a blast radius of about 25ft? and don't even do much damage.  Same goes for bombs.

?straight down huh?

that doesnt do me much good at any angle, from my best guess id say they always seem to burn out at mabey the 400m to 600m range, if the fall strait to the deck after that, i never hear them like i hear bombs dropping.

The reason I asked this was because I was noticing that bombs and especially rockets seem to do very little damage beyond the initial point of impact.

Also, with rockets... I've had direct hits on M3's and M8's and at times, they have done no damage. This isn't always the case... But it's the majority for me.

I was wondering if Hitech or someone from HTC could look into this stuff if they got a chance. Or atleast give some feedback on any changes that have been made since AH1.

The HVAR's seem weaker in AH2.  They are not as effective against panzers as they used to be.

I have noticed a marked decrease in blast radius damage from both rockets and bombs in AH2.

on top of that question, what do you guys find is the best refference point in your plane to dirrect you rocket shot with?

i kinda best guess it most of the time, and just put my target under about midsection or the center of my prop.

cant say for most planes, but on the Hog, flyin at 45* and aim just below your cross air for best results.

P-51 rockets seem the most useless in the game to me

I use the P-51 default sight on all planes I carry rockets. It has markings for rockets and bombs and is accurate at 45 degrees. As for rocket range, in PT's I've scored hits on a CV from over 5k. But you have to use 2-3 rockets to get range. WHY won't HT put torpedo and/or rocket sights on PT's?

Can't answer that, but I find you can make a convenient aim point for the Rockets, Torps, and 37mm by putting the mouse cursor in the center of the 20mm iron sight and then switching to the weapons with no sights. Makes the 37mm quite an effective AA gun. ;-)
