question for you GVers, how is it that a panzer ups, takes 3 shots to the turret from another panzer before it fires a shot, then finally gets one off, and its a one shot death?  turret was smoking?

i am new to gvs, hence the question.  i never really gv'd much before.  this may be wrong forum, if so, sorry.  :)

welcome to the ground war that is AH2.

notice the total kill stats for panzers for the tour...

The Panzer IV H has 53688 kills and has been killed 52955 times

better yet check out this stat:

http://www.innomi.com/ahkillstats/totalstats.php?sortby=kill_sort

top 4 killers in order:

panzer
ship gunner
la7
ostwind

panzer beats next closest by 30,000 kills.

it is sad to see aces low lately. i wish something could be done to make it aces high again.
I don't know what to put here yet.

More than likely he had supplies out. you shooot his turret he grabs supply, Keeps doing this until he gets shot off.and hits u in side. ! shot side kills happen every time close up. turret or rear armor just disables engine or gun...................

next time film it. watch the film and it will prolly show you hitting it some other place than what you were seeing in the game.

wasnt a side shot, he hit me dead front.

may of had supplies tho.  thanks for the replies.
i may have to film it next time, sure looked like i hit turret 3 times, at least dead front of him 3 times.  still weird if i hit dead front 3 times, he hit me once dead front.  :(   supplies would be the answer to that tho.  thanx again.

Unfortunately, yes MOIL.  (Lord know's how it got in there)

If they are going to create ground vehicles for an Air Combat Simulation, they atleast need to make the vehicles look and respond realistically.

Part of the problem is that people expect that X hit will always have Y result, and there are to many variables involved for that to be true.

Your shots may not have penetrated and his one shot did.  He may have had supplies available.

MOIL,

Your trolling is getting really boring.  Why do you persist in it?  Sour grapes?

Trolling?  hardly.
I'm a paying customer, should I not have the right to post like you?

If you and everyone else wanna keep handin' um this "maybe he had supplys"  "maybe your shot missed"  nonsense go right ahead. Not gonna hear any complaints in my dept.

Lets just put it this way,  imagine for a sec you logged in to play and your Mossi handled exactly like a B17,  I got a stack a chips to say you'd be right saying something about.

I thought you'd quit and gone to WWIIOL.

As to what I meant by "trolling", well, you're obviously not satisfied with the GV game.

The GV game is obviously not as developed as the air-to-air game, but it has gotten markedly better than it was.  There are still some major fixes to be done, such as the downhill racer issue, the flubber tree issue and the high center of gravity issue, but it has gotten better.

I never insinuated that he missed his shot.  It is easy to tell if you hit or not.  What I said was that his shots may not have penetrated.

You have never made clear what your expectations are, you simply post snide quips that are derogatory towards the ground game that does exist in AH.  Because you never post any content to your discontent, I simply take you for somebody who expects very simple and recreatable results, e.g. shot X has Y effect every single time.

FWIW I don't like the resupply system in AH either as I have lost fights due to it.

I went to the con this year and gv's was a big question. It was explained that gv's, are actually more complicated and modeled realistically than the planes.....armor, will only be penetrated after a certain amount of damage, angle of attack, type of armor is factored....multiple engine hits (for example) will not 'carry over' to other areas that can be damaged. I dont remember everything they said, but it made sense, since air armor is normally very thin, compared to inches of tank armor. Modeling it was far more intricate than you'de think.
