only difference when going to the DA is you usually are in near same planes and sam alt and speed , same everything unless you make rule before hand to fly totally different setup and come in at what ever alt when you engage. As for the CT or MA even you will either have an advantage or a disadvantage and actually will have to work harder for your kill if you are the one in the disadvantage spot.

1 vs 1, 2, 3 heck sometimes 1 vs 4 or 5 is fun, but not always

sometimes it is overkill if it is more than 2 or 3 on 1 and all of them are in cherry picking mode!

a simple asking if  one needs help works and shows good etiquette, try to learn to judge visually if someone is in trouble or not, usually when you ask and do not get a fairly quick reply they are in trouble and have no time to respond to you. The more you fly and see things the more aware you will become of recognizing situations.....

hope you enjoy the CT :)

Folks,

Thanks for the advice. I will be back to the CT !! (as soon as I put a few more rolls of duct tape on the holes in my planes - Truekill).

This is my approach, too.  To the extent that there is any discernable etiquette, 2 v 1 is fine, 3 v 1 is sometimes OK (depending on the plane set), anything above that is pathetic ganging.

Opinions on this vary, of course.

Lol.  When I see Eagler, I just pass on by, knowing that within a short time his victim will be toast.

Welcome to the CT.

I would be among those who suggest that when you come upon a 1v1 away from the rest of the fight, it's very simple -- and almost universally appreciated -- to give a quick "need help?" over vox or text.

Splash has the best handle in the CT, becasue if there is water on the map he'll spend most of his online time swimming in it! :D

Glad you enjoyed it 63tb. CT is my favorite place besides the Squad Operations on Friday night.

The guy I tried to help wound up helping me and shot the plane down (THX REDD). Anyway, was this the right thing to do? If you see two planes fighting it out in the CT should you join in or not.
Most don't mind if you jump right in, but I have had some get angry with me. I don't usually ask, but on occasion I might. I really don't remember who gets angry because I don't pay any attention most of the time.

as for "jumping in" i'd say it kind of depends on the situation.  if your friendly is apparently in control of the engagement and there are other bad guys inbound, then jumping in might not be the best choice.

even if no other baddys around, have you ever considered it might be taking away the fun for the two engaged?  over time you'll figure out who's most likely to need the help and who might not be.

if your friendly seems to be needing the help, by all means clear him as soon as you can, especially if other baddys are coming (this doesn't mean doing bnz extend 5k and reverse passes - this only gets your friendly most likely dead with the waste of time)

if there are already 2 or 3 friendlies on a baddy, then why would you feel the need to jump in? in this case it'd merely be overkill.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

Yeah, kind of a Jeckle-and-Hyde sort of a guy.  I haven't figured him out  ... and I'm sure that's just the way he intends it.

But people don't slam him for "not giving tips or teaching others."

Oh... and VWE is right.  If there's water on the map you'll likely find me swimming in it soon enough. Be looking for you next time a PTO setup rolls around.

take em and shove them where the sun don't shine

if you have ever noticed some of the text fights and flames back and forth between some and Shane then you would know that the opposite is true and he has been slammed in a sense for  the way he supposedly offers help

so :p
