Game Troubles
« on: November 01, 2004, 06:12:43 PM »
First I can't connect to this new version. After 40 or seconds I just cancel connection. It asks if I want to try an alternate route, I click cancel. Then I try to qu it game and it gets stuck on screen and I have to reboot each time.

Any tips?

For some reason my fire wall (zone Alarm) wouldn't allow to connect this patch and after I exited the game I couldn't connect to anything (explorer, e-mail etc) till I rebooted
Disabled zone alarm      went right into MA

Thats because the file changes when you download a new patch/version. You have to delete the old AH from zonealarm, and add the new one.

if you using zonealarm you should only have to type r y and that is it, it should let you in and never ask again.......

another way is to manually go into Zonealoarm program control and left click on the zones and click the green check mark........

either way works for me everytime, I never have had to  delete AH from my zonealarm or redo my icon shortcut on the desktop

I had it set to changes frequently in zone alarm. It didn't even ask me if I wanted to let it connect. I deleted ah from programs in zone alarm, and tried to add it back...just locked up fire wall

Uninstalled and reinstalled ZA and it still won't let me add AH2
back into programs. Only way I can get into game online is to disable ZA..never been a prob with all the other patches all 30 or so

XJ sounds like a firewall.  You have to configure the settings to let AH2 connect to the internet.  Right now it seems it is set up to block it.  Every time a new AH version is released I have to do the same.
