Wasn't a question of the validity of use of lethal force in that situation Scootter, only the way you put it initially.

"siting in my car with this guy about 2 ft from me and as his head is above the horizon I would be much less likely to hit someone standing across the street by aiming high. I am fairly sure that at the range a through penetrating round would be likely."

THAT is much better sounding than "i put three holes in his head", wouldn't you agree?  Say it this new way, and no way you'd be convicted of anything.

Remember that even if you're justified, in court the opposing lawyer is going to try to bury you.  Best to not give him even the slightest chance.   Always good to think of this stuff in advance.

Incedentally I use a .45 too, but an HK rather than a SiG although I trust the SiG equally.  Not sure how fast I can get three aimed shots off, never really timed myself except in the course of passing qualification--and then it's really more about accuracy than speed.

If you were in the car behind the pt cruiser and you had the possiblity to pin the man or "bump" him fearing for the person in the pt cruisers life. Would you get a bad rap for it ? Or would you be a everyday hero not knowing if that guy would go farther and assault the driver.?

Me watching it doesn't increase her pain, but it sure does make me laugh.  I still feel her pain, but busting yer arse is always funny.

Ya'll touchy feely types think she doesn't look back on that and laugh herself silly?

Ya'll never laughed at your buddy when he hit his thumb with a hammer?

Suuure ya didn't.

Besides, as Stuka stated. If you can talk, you can breathe.  If you've ever had the wind knocked out of you before, you'd understand there's no way you could do anything but gasp.
She was going for attention at that point.

But, it is pretty funny watching ya'll claim we're sadistic just because we can laugh at it.  :D

On the PT thing...not sure if you could get away with running over him. At that point the judge would probably ask why you didn't just drive away.

I don't know about the "if you can talk, you can breath" thing.

Recently, a young guy died after a cop handcuffed him and put a hood over his head. In the audio, the kid was pleading "I can't breath, I can't breath! I have asthma!"

The cop was heard saying: "son, if you can talk you can breath"

The kid died thanks to that genius cop's logic.

Hawklore.  Being a typical bulletproof teenager with a highpowered dirt bike, I stood on the seat and spread my arms.  I was a wonderous sight as the bike wobbled and threw me off, wadding me up and removing large patches of skin.  The @!$#@$% bike never dropped and ended up leaning against a tree.  I made sounds that make hers pale in comparison as I dragged myself to the bike and rode home, hurt and humbled.

I didn't laugh then, but I can not help but laugh now.

Been there, done it. Climbed and fell out of many a tree growing up.  Easily from better than three feet. Hence how I know from personal experience about the talking and not being able to breathe.

I laugh about those and several far more serious accidents I've survived.

I have to give it to you Hawk.

She busted her ass, that's funny.

The sounds she made - comedy gold.
