You want to know what makes this funny? Its the fact that every major television market has some ridiculous morning show with some ridiculous morning show reporter "out on the town" to report on activities gonig on the next weekend. And secretly, we all despise the reporters for trivializing or, conversely, over-hyping the event by taking part in a demonstration of it. Did the reporter really need to stomp grapes to show us how it was done? No. But she did because she wanted to show everyone that she was important and therefore, it was important to go stomp grapes. And the fact that she tried to be cute about it for the audience, then fell flat on her face, was a nice punchline.
Its like all of those reporters who think its important to stand in knee-deep water just to report on street flooding during a storm. "Look at me! Look at me! Isn't this dramatic!" Blah. I'm waiting for the day someone does a cannonball behind them and splashes sewage water all over the reporter's suit and tie.
