Blacks right to vote
« on: November 03, 2004, 12:53:55 AM »
OK I'm not being sarcastic now I am being TOTALLY SERIOUS.

Today at work one of my co-workers (who is black) told me he's not voteing because he has been told the republicans will take away the Black's right to vote.

I was flabergasted.  But rather than call him a moron (wich I usually do because he's a good friend) I asked to see his source.  He printed out a well written email for me and I nearly lost it.  SOMONE (I wonder who it is) is telling blacks that republicans are going to take away his right to vote by not renewing a constitutional amendment!

I've never heard anything so fowl in my life.  I told him that there is in fact a constitutional amendment that says ALL citizens have the right to vote and amendments don't have to be renewed but vote how you feel!

THEN, I talk to my brother and the same thing happens at his work with one of his black friends.

IF anyone has a copy of this Email PLEASE CC it here.  I'd love to see it and expose some of the fear mongering goin on with demacrats and minoritys.

If he believes that then he doesn't deserve to vote.   His vote would be a mockery of the system.

I have not heard of anything more stupid in a very long time.

If that were the case woudlnt you think that would be reason for him to go out and vote democrat?
that shoulda been all the more reason for him to go out and vote

The basic point of this thread is that this is more fear from the party that suposidly supports minoritys that republicans are going to take away blacks right to vote.

That is dispicable.  I figured it was a farse today until I talked to my brother and he had the EXACT same experience with one of his black friends

To me this is REASON ONE that minoritys shouldnt support thier DNC cronies any longer!

i spent my last smoke of the day listening to 12 black people saying:

"we gotta get bush outta office, whatever we have to do"

i put out my cig and went inside.

i work at a hospital, and the time i went to smoke was the break time for the material services.

i jave NO problem withpeople of different races, i DO have a problem with stupidity, following the leader, and  blindly following the media like MTV.

my God 2 of them said "Bush is going to draft me if he gets re-elected" and they BELIEVED it.

personally, my biggest problem is people who vote based on a myth of which party is "for" this race/creed/whatever..... and do not look into the issues / political stances / records / and plans of the candiate.
I don't know what to put here yet.
