I vote B-25!
For Germans---Ju-52 -Axis transport.Although japanese had licensed version of the C-47 (Tabby).
For Japanese --Gekko(Irving) or Dinah attack version this would give the japanese a twin engine fighter bomber.
 For Italy the Sm-79 bomber.
For the British.-Bristol Beufighter fo antishipping.

B25 was also flown by Free French Forces.
If we had it, the HE-111 and the Do 17 in the MA, I would pick the B25 every time.
Scenerios need the early Axis bombers more then the MA but the numbers are in the MA.

HE 111 is a well known bomber, just maybe not to americans since it was not really bombing the UK anymore once the americans finaly entered the war....:p

the only reason everyone likes american bombers is they are "uber" just like people that fly La7s, P51s and Niks.... oh and 24/7 daylight and pin point Radar in MA renders all other bombers useless.

does that mean they should be left out? no...

from a modeling point of view i think a HE111 would be rather easy??? its small.

It's not too late...he's still alive and went flying last month!

Ju188

320-350mph

6,000+lbs bombs

1 Mg151 20mm cannon in nose
1 MG151 20mm cannon in top turret
1 MG131 13mm MG in rear canopy
1 MG131 or 1 MG81Z (twin 7.92mm) in belly

Fast, big bomb load, and good defensivec armament. This is the next bomber we need in AH and it will be great in the MA and CT/Scenarios...

I agree with GRUNHERZ.  Particularly because that is the German bomber I've been advocating.

I'd also mention that it is likely to be a very durable bomber like the Ju88A-4 is and is a great looking bomber.

It would be very interesting to see some "Doolittle Style" raids with the Mitchell. I realize, as did the raid planners, that this was a one shot deal, never to be repeated in later operations. And this raid was more symbolic than tactical or practical. But what would you think of a swarm of Mitchell's uppin of a carrier to blast a base with? Some would say easy pickens (sorry sqaudie, no pun intended) others would say slam dunk!

On a different note how would ya like to have this rainin hellfire and brimstone down on ya head?

I know, don't tell me ! It's a Viet Nam Era platform, and not suited for AH2.

"though it wasnt ez to take off" As the link denotes, the "Doolittle Raiders" were stripped down B-models. And I don't remember the exact quote or who said it, but I heard that one "Raider" had said "You couldn't squeze a B-B through my pucker (he used a different word, but you get the idea) when we took off from the Hornet ".
As far as WB, never played it. Outside of AH2 the only warbird type sims I have played were Aces over Europe and Aces of the Pacific both from Dynamix (which no matter how much I've tried, windowsXP wont allow me to play those two).
