F7s did start out blue but the dots weren't part of the deal.

I think I've covered a lot of color schemes now :)

That black one is freakin sweet.. but this blue one...  WOW.. that is awesome!  You think they'd accept it Guppy?

No clue on whether they'd accept it, but here's the color shot of the real deal.

NOT a formation assembly ship as they didn't have those in the Pacific.

This one is a real one from the 63rd BS, 43rd BG.  I had an old AW Squad friend whose Grandfather commanded the 63rd BS, "SeaHawks" later in the war, specializing in night attacks on shipping.

I want to do this one.. Can you give me more pictures?

This is the photo my profile is based on.  I don't know of any other photos of it, at least not in my home library.

Second image is a profile found in "The Mighty Eighth" by Roger Freeman, showing a 406th BS, all black B24.

For the sake of variety :)

Ok, I think I'm going to try it, but one more question... any idea what the markings on the top part of the flat top of the tail section would be?  For instance in the "Strawberry *****" looking down photo you posted there is a black 2 and a black triangle....what would those correspond to in this model?  I wish I knew more about the markings  :(

Im not 100% sure about B-24 markings, but I believe all markings on the stabilizers (vertical and horizontal) are squadron markings.

United is correct.  There were Wing, Group and Squadron Markings on the top of the horizontal stabilizers on the 24s and 17s.

That was a practice of the 15th AF out of Italy.  Not the 5th AF in the Pacific.  The Blue 24 is from the 5th AF.

Check this site Kev:

http://www.acseac.co.uk/index.php

Tons of stuff on RAF Libs.  Best site I've seen on them.  Bumped into it by accident yesterday.

Those coastal command camo 24Js look nice.  Check the models out as the photos are color.  Lots of other images of RAF 24s on the site too.

The upper camo would be the same two camo's as on the AH Seafire.

That scheme would looks really nice if the shininess issue ever gets worked out.

Hello Everyone
Would just like to say thanks for the kind words about the website and also would like to point out that you missed out the tail fin markings for the 356 Squadron Lib. 356 Libs had Black and White crosses on the tail fins. 355 Squadron Libs had Vertical bars. I have lots of colour plates of Libs RAF, RAAF, USAAF if anyone wants a peek let me know and I'll add them to my site and send u a link.
Regards
Gary
