This is the synopsis of a new TV documentary over here in UK
Looks to be quite amusing!

"The Crazy Rulers of the World

8:00pm - 9:00pm

Channel 4

VIDEO Plus+: 1216
Subtitled
Episode 1/3 - The Men Who Stare at Goats

"People are basically nutty," says a CIA psychologist at the start of this extraordinary series, and by the end you may well believe he's right. It's presented by Jon Ronson, who has spent three years piecing together the history of bizarre paranormal programmes conducted by the US military and others. Take Maj Gen Albert Stubblebine III, once chief of army intelligence, now retired. He cheerfully admits to Ronson that he spent a good deal of time in the 1980s attempting to walk through his office wall, because he thought it would be a useful skill for a general to have, and, after all, the wall and he were both made of atoms that were mostly air. He kept banging his nose, but he kept trying. It's just one jaw-dropping delusion among many.

Lt Col Jim Channon was paid in 1977 to go hang out with Californian new age hippies. He came up with the idea for a First Earth Battalion wearing robes and hoods who would carry lambs into battle, be able to see into the future, pass through walls and plant auras. The Army loved it and offered to create a real unit but he preferred to write a manual to inspire people.

Guy Savelli a marshal arts teacher from Ohio was recruited for an experiment designed to see whether a goats heart could be stopped by staring at the goat. He started in a room 100yds away and a goat fell down dead. Special forces loved it and next day lined up 30 goats. Savelli concentrated on number 17 and number 18 fell over- collateral damage I guess.... Savelli has moved onto hamsters and down at frort Bragg they are all staring at hamsters right now.

The current chief of staff General Peter Schoomaker is a fan of this stuff and has bought Jim Channon Back into the fold. and with the war on terror these ideas are back in a big way.Let's bring the psychics back! Bring on the goats."

I quoted this from our TV listings. Sounds scarily funny huh?

As a postcript I was just watching BBCnews24 and an American Coll was being interviewed about the current upsurge in attacks and preparations for the assault on Falujiah, and po facedly told the correspondant that the enemy in Falujah had a face and his name was Satan!!!!! The world has gone mad. Bring back Col Kurtz!

What a crazy world we live in.
