Help with Axis settings
« on: November 17, 2004, 12:52:10 PM »
I seem to be blacking out way to much and maybe it's my axis settings. It seems that when ever I pull any kind of maneuver such as a break or a loop or a high yo-yo I'm flying in the tunnel. Is this normal? I can fly seeing through that narrow hole but it's tough keeping my eye on the bad guy. I've even dampened the gain in my CH control manager but it's not helping. It doesn't seem to me that I'm yanking that hard on the stick.

I'll post screen shots of my stick settings when I get home tonight.

(or maybe I just need more stick time and need to be patient with myself)

It does take practise to fly "in the tunnel" experience helps a lot knowing what he's likely going to try to do also.

If you think your stick is oversensitive instead of the default straight stairstep from low left to high right. Try putting a low curve in there instead.  Still need to start low left, the next 4 or 5 steps should step up very gradually, then the last 4 jump faster to get you to the top.

This has the advantage of giving you finer control  (especially for pitch) close to the center, but max control when you need it.
