Ozkansas and a framerate
« on: November 06, 2004, 12:16:24 PM »
Anyone else has huge frame rate drop with this map? :( I am getting 15fps inland and if I am over field with couple smokes or over the forests and hills it is sometimes down to 5-7 fps. With same setup at other maps it is 30 fps normally.

If it is a common problem, may be this map shall be optimized for a framerate?

I run 100's on small maps and 60-70's on the big ones.

I have a nice system including 1 gig of fast ram and a 9800 pro vid card and I'm getting pretty crappy FR's.  Is there any secret to ATI cards for punching up the frame rate without killing quality?  I have already turned the water animation off because it just looks terrible (pixelated) above 1k or so.

I think I remember Fester changing the map after its first rotation in AH1 as there were issues. Maybe it needs tweaking again for AH2?.

Dunno if its relevent or not but  I've suddenly been getting alot of stutters and pauses and lags again on all the maps over the last week or so.
Initially thought  ADAWARE had something to do with is as that was the only thing I have changed.
Tried uninstalling it  and even rolling my system back to the way it was before. with no effect.

Last time I had this problem I deleted then reinstalled the game itself and that seemed to fix it to near perfection so I tried it again. And had the same thing

But that was yesterday and now Im hearing people are having problems on the current map.
the only thing is I never had problems on this map before.
bout to log on now so we will see

No frame rate drop, but there's way too much lag and warp.

Seeing ALOT of warping.

Also alot of stutters and short mini pauses.
Alot like I saw when AH2 first came out

Anywone else seeing a large increase in stutters and pauses the last couple weeks?

trying to figure out if its on my end or HTC's
