Growing up and going through college we didnt have Tijuana being from NY, but we did have Niagra Falls on the Canadian side, the US dollar goes a looooooooooong way up there.

I lived outside of Rochester and went to a state school south of Rochester about 2 hours.

If your dumb bellybutton is comparing Canada to Mexico, especially on the border, there are a lot of people that will take care of you, pinche gringo.

Well of course you are Nash, haha I remember walking into one establishment and there were 4 guys the size of sky scrapers standing there checking IDs. Well my buddy is so drunk he can hardly walk, but they let him in anyways but warn us that he was our responsibility, Well we certainly listened. Latter I found out that the club was run by the russians so im glad we were good boys.

In talking about the bars here, you use the words "Gentlemen's club" and then you use the word "establishment."

I'm getting a funny vibe....

And that is... Forego the road trip into Mexico. Skirt the border by taking a plane into the heart of it. Maybe something along the lines of a Club Med package.

(just yankin' yer chain)

after living in Arizona for 6 years I have to say stay away from border towns.  Stay away from "regular" mexico.  Stick to the tourist areas.  They are still nice areas surrounded by impoverished people that will rob you so its no different than going to anywere else in mexico except you have a nice hotel to stay at.

Rocky point
Rosarita
Baja

and if you feel like driving
Cabo
masatlan (SP)  <---like Cabo but less expensive

Your taking you girlfriend to Mexico and going to a border town? Hop a flight to Cabo or Cancun. It's cheap and much nicer. There's a reason you never hear of snorkling tours in Juarez.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Some years back a friend of mine was at topsfield fair, while he was there he entered a contest at the carefree gum booth. He won, and the prize was a trip for two to carefree Arizona. He was put up in this hotel that had rooms built into the rock and it had a real nice golf course. He was given a video tape of the place, he said it was real nice. Wish I could think of the name of the resort, i'll try to get it for you.

Any of the border towns are just going to be tourist traps, with hordes of vendors harrassing you. You'll have to go deep into Mex. if you want "authentic"

You  can't bring your guns into Mexico.. why in God's name would you want to go there, and with your GF in tow?
