Heh, for all that "effort", he's not even ranked in the top 100. But I AM! and I wasn't even playing for a score. I think this is the first time I've ever been in the top 100 (tied for #95). Now, I know that's nothing to really brag about, I just think it's hillariously ironic. (or should I say "ironic and hillarious"?)

Yeah I'm with everyone else here... I don't think this one is worth all the effort. This kid has got 422 kills total, 421 in a gv, and 1 in attack mode. His K/D in Gvs where he obviously plays with himself over and over is 210... In his only other score category which he has actually flown sorties (attack) he has 1 kill and 5 deaths. With a K/D of 210 he is still ranked 195 in GVs... he obviously isn't doing this for rank. Can't really talk to any of his squadmates about him, cus they haven't flown at all this tour. Safe to say I don't think anyone else is going to sign him.

One question though, he has no sorties in a fighter, but has a 15% hit percentage which ranks (0)? Never seen that before.

Edit: Sorry I've been here too long, he has 9 sorties in 6 minutes died 6 times and killed nothing. And his hit % is .158... which if I give him the benefit of the doubt and round up it is .2 =) But he did manage 419 points in fighters without a kill which is kinda cool.

well, he may not be ranked high, but what is with all the hype about being ranked in the top 5, 10, 20, 100? does HTC give ya'll a prize or sumthin?

example of how the rank/score system is flawed:

TC ( CT Arena ) for October
attack rank - #1
flew 2 flights for 50 mins 7 kills no deaths

eskimo ( CT Arena ) for October
attack rank - #1
flew 70 flights for 12 hrs 31 mins 109 kills 25 deaths

what is wrong with this picture?

The only, and I do mean ONLY thing rank does is decide who can control the CV's. Except on "Gilligan Day", when scores are reset.

I'm not sure if HiTech cares. Heck, I'm not sure if I even care. BUT...it does make for interesting chat on the message boards, or is it message boreds?

Anyway, instead of asking the folks at HTC to ban these people and take time away from game developement, let's just keep posting names on the BBs. It's not like the "XXXXXX landed 296 kills" announcement can't be read by all people online. That makes it pretty much public to whoever is online at the time. May as well let everyone know about what a great shot XXXXXX is!

From now on, just post their name, let people ridicule them a bit, and we can try and hunt their arses down in the MA

It all comes down to whether how you 'rank' matters.

Personally it doesn't matter to me as long as I'm having fun at the game.

And it reminds me of old RAGS back in Airwarrior who wanted to be the "best' fighter pilot so he has a buddy up in a goon a zillion times while he vulched him in a 190.

He may have been on top of the scoreboard but within the community he was considered a fool. No doctoring of the numbers would ever change that.
