Airmageddon: 3rd Anniversary and Change of Command
« on: November 12, 2004, 12:29:03 AM »
Today marks the 3rd Anniversary of the founding of Airmageddon.

It's been one heck of a wild ride and I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of folks to share it!

Congratulations Airmageddon!  Here's to 3 great years and many, many more!!  <>!!

Since I've had my fun in the hotseat, it's finally time for me to step aside and let somebody else drive.  Last time I looked,  BFD and Grimm had an extra rocking chair on the retired COs porch.

Break open the good hooch, gents.. ya'll about to have company!

( ghstdncr... what are you grinning about? )

It is my pleasure and honor to announce that Stink1 is now the Commanding Officer of Airmageddon. Congratulations and WTG Stink!  You go, girl!!!  With SMUZ as our XO, these folks will continue to lead us in our great tradition and onto even greater heights!

<> Stink and SMUZ!  Ya'll are the greatest!

And so with my first X-CO sig block, I do sign..

Drone,

It's been an honor and a pleasure serving under you these past 3 years. I couldn't ask for a better CO and I don't know what we're going to without you around as much. You deserve the break and your rocking chair has a personalized bronze plaque on it just for you. ! Don't forget to hand over the keys to the executive bar.

Daddog,,I'm not a gent. I've been called a gent so much in this game I keep looking but alas I still have no balls.  Last I looked I was still all woman.

Drone again,,,we're going to miss you in command position. !! We all hope you enjoy your retirement!

Come on up here Drone and have a seat, the view is good, you can watch all these greenhorn COs running around building squads ;).  Drone, well deserved break, Ex-CO is the best job on the block!  You and your staff did an excellent job transitioning from AW to AH, and building the AirMegs up to a real powerhouse, both in the MA and Events.

Stink, congratulations, very well deserved!  Please let me know if I can do anything to assist you in carrying on the fine AirMeg tradition, but I know you will do great!

Anybody looking for a great Squad won't go wrong with the AirMegs!

Cya Up!

Hmmm Boss..   looks like the old saying is true after all.. if you can't hang with the big Dawgs (BFD), get off the porch. And take that new shiny rocker witcha!!

Can't begin to thank ya enough for taking me into Air Megs when I started this flying game  in '03.
Shoving me in a buff with Stink for detailing and training wasn't an altogether bad idea, either.  Obviously we've all had a peerless role model and leader in you, Drone, especially all the times when I've been scolded for going DeNiro in the MA on range channel vox with slews of profanity-laced tirades!   lol    But I digress..   come on down now with us worker bees and play a lil'..   responsibility can at times be no fun.. so have fun now.. and KILL SOMETHING!!!
Only wish I coulda been around sooner...

War Drone letting his hair (or scalp) down and joining me for drunken cussing
War Stink pulling rank on everyone for virtual favors  (LOL)
War B-17 drones that successfully land upside down
War my STEELERS  steamrolling through and getting 1 for the thumb
War squirrels with tiny baseball bats who REALLY protect their nuts

Rack me, I'm out !!!!

Later Boss..
^^AIM HIGH^^

Yep Drone we have had a good first 3 yrs. Let's see I came on with you guys just before the AW melt down as a "As you say an experiment" LOL. With the founding of Airmageddon we have learned much together and still learn everytime we up with the vast collection of friends. They are composed of many different squads and lonewolfs, and yes even from the different countries as we up together in the FSO's and other events. Under your Command we have experienced much growth and insite of different responsiblities needed to get the job done. This has given us some respect I believe with the entire community. Now as for the new CO ummmm ------------- I think------------ she'll be a chip from the ol block, and continue with the growth and refinement of the squad. Ah a little note to the new recruits and the junior members----------- Stink at times like the do the Buff runs as a BUFF RUN, for her entertainment.:rofl If she starts to give ya a hard time-------- just ask her to bail with you and march back to base by way of train tracks, she really likes that :aok

It's been a great 3yrs with you as CO Drone SIR <> enjoy your retirement as long as you can cause we all know you'll be back in the hotseat, just cause you can :D  Oh Dawg be sure to keep him wrapped, and make sure he gets him med with his warm milk. :aok :rofl
