Set Up for 11-12-2004
« on: November 12, 2004, 08:52:14 AM »
We are staying in Okinawa this week. Set up is as follows.

Allies

U.S.A.A.F.

P-38L
C-47

Airfield 20

P-51D
B-24J

Airfield 19

P-47 D40
B-24J

Airfield 18

U.S.M.C.

F4U-1D
F4U-1C
TBM-3
U.S.N.

CV 1  CV 2

F4U-1D
F4U-1C
TBM-3
LVTS
PT

CV 3

F6F-5
FM-2
LVTS
PT

Axis

Imperial Air Forces

A6M5
Ki-61
Ki-67
Ki-84
N1K2-J
C-47

I reduced the number of CVs to 3 and limited availability for some U.S. fighters. I believe I have the puff-instantdeath-ack turned off. Let me know if anyone gets taken out by it so I can make adjustments. I may add the Bf-110 for the Axis as well. it seemed to work out ok last time I had it in there.

Get rid of the Chog, there were only 200 of them ever made but it will make up the majority of F4U taken up here...

That works too.  But it shouldnt be freely available, it was an extremply limited model in real life.

Either the Chawg perked at 1 - 3 perks OR the pony, I don't see that the allies need both.

But I already got told they won't change the setup, so I'll see you guys next setup.

There only 423 N1K2-Js made ( accordiing to my book) and the George is available at all Axis fields. The C-hog is available at 1 airfiield and 2 CVs.

But I already got told they won't change the setup,

Well "they" make adjustments all the time.  Ill kick around taking it out.

how about adding the sbd-5  since it's a late '43 version and we don't have the helldiver.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

Some recomendation(s)...

* Perk C-hog (200 Total) and N1K2-J (423 total) for 3 pts.
* Perk F4U-4 for 5 pts and should ONLY be available for land bases (USMC).
* Add SBD (optional) for USN carriers

So how's Ki-84 doing against the "iron" planes? :D

And there wera also a good number of 4 cannon armed N1K1J too.  Either way comapring the size of US forces and Japan forces the 4 cannon armed Nikis  were far far more common and more representative than the 200 chogs to the USA...

You cant look at absolute numbers, if yiou just did then c205 of the tiny italian air force would be considered just as rare as F4U1c of the huge US army/navy air forces because only a few hundred were made of each model. You have to consider the relative sizes of the air forces.

The F4u1C is a but a footnote in us late  ww2 air combat history...

As expected...

But c'mon! Ki-84 should eat that chog anytime anyday:mad:! And don't let that pig get up to 10K! Don't get suckered in a HO. Don't follow that pig at Dive, and let him/her climb back yo you! And if u all can, adopt USN "tic-tacs" (thact weave, some BnZ in in ki-61, ect) 'n dat will double da already very lithal nip fighters.

btw are there any "good" Ki-84 sticks out here...?
