... dumbness.
So... I have CNN running in the background when, alluhsudden, this grating noise starts squawking from my television set.
It's the kind of noise.... that particular way of talking, almost shouting, trying to muscle its way into my conscience like a Righteous Jackhammer. I've heard it before...
Perhaps due to slipping ratings, it seems CNN has replaced Aaron Brown with Hannity's alter ego. I didn't catch his name. Aaron Brown was sometimes gratingly nuanced, but he never ever tried to start ***** with me.
This new dude (and I didn't listen to what he was saying) was acting like he was trying to pick a fight.
"ARGH BLARGH ERRRG HAFFFFFFFFASLE!"
"I am PISSED OFF and YOU SHOULD BE TOO!"
That's the thing about right-wing radio. I'll try to get into it, but I'm quickly overwhelmed by the sense that the person is SHOUTING at me. Clearly upset about something, but I've lost track of the 'something' by then.
I dunno... prolly just me. I like argument as much as the next guy. Even better if it's reasoned. But.. You gonna freaking yell at me? Fer chrissakes, why do people submit themselves to that? Does it get their adrenaline pumping or something?
It's ridiculous.
Christ... pipe down.
