Unlimited fuel bug

In a plane with multiple fuel tanks, manually switch to one of the tanks. When it empties the engine keeps going and your plane stops using fuel.

I tried this in an F4U-1 and P-51D. I assume it works for all planes with multiple fuel tanks.

Noticed the same thing earlier in a F4U-1.  Weirdness.

OK I did some testing in the Main and found several things

These Planes you can up 25% fuel switch to LW or RW and fly forever.

LA5
LA7
110G-2
P47D-40
P51-D
Hurri II
P38
Yak9T
F4U-1

Now I have not tested all the planes that have wing tanks

But are you ready for this ............

Get a Plane with 25% fuel and a DT.......  Manual over to DT and drop it while staying on DT ........... and you will continue to Fly

Planes tested are the

P47D11
109G10
190D9

I will check all the 109 and 190 series planes and let you know
But as far as it looks if your plaane can carry a DT you can do this .

not with a ki84 it seems.  took 75% fuel, flew around, left fuel selected on the center tank as it ran dry in the end. engine stopped.

ok heres an update after flying ALL the planes this is what I found

These  Planes were not affected by this fuel bug .

202
205
109E4
P40-B
Seafire II
Spit V
ME262
ME163

These Planes were upped with 25% fuel and switched to Manual Fuel Select and their Eng. Died

Now as for all the other planes I upped with 25% fuel and switched to Manual LM, or RM, or BTM  , RA  or simply Upped with 25% fuel and a Drop tank , once on RR Manual Switch to External , backspaced to External pressed secondary button to release DT and flew with fuel guage showing on external.

Gonna Be funny seeing nothing but the 8 Planes Listed in the MA due to fuel problems with the others

And one note to all who knew about this and exploited it , your day has come to an end .

And to Gryffin ... I Thank you for noting this and not exploiting it

B24 does the same, switched to a tank that was leaking, it ran out and carried on regardless

Too bad a lot of people decided to try to abuse this bug last night in the arena.

unfortunatly I really dont want to fly in the MA anymore due to this , not saying that everyone will be doing it , but you just dont know who will exploit it to their advantage cause its the only way they can get a kill

I am sure they ( HTC ) will squander this bug fast! ( hope so ), and anyhow, unless you fly timid :p  you timid flyers know who you be! :rofl

you be long out of ammo or near it before fuel ever plays a role in the rtb scenario! least that is how it is with me, I just tested it when I heard about it, took for ever to run most of the tanks dry then use the empty one !

no worries JB35, you can kill most of them when you are near 100% fuel and they empty! don't sweat it  :D
