Fallujah- How long before?
« on: November 13, 2004, 08:17:15 PM »
Was just watching some news footage of the fighting going on in Fallujah and it got me to thinking.

Wonder how long before it becomes a first person shooter video game.

You just know its going to.
'And its sure to be a hot seller

I just wonder how long its gonna be.

Think about it.
Even here
We take what were real and sometimes desperate life and death situations for real people and turn them into games for our "enjoyment"

I remember playing "Medal of Honor" and seeing a group of folks that created an "Easy Co." squad complete with the real names.
I remember feeling pretty disgusted at the sight thinking and wondering how the real guys from Easy Co. would feel about someone using their names and making a game out of what they really lived through.
Somehow if I were in their place dont think I wouldnt appreciate it very much when I stopped and thought about my buddies that really died and how they died was anything but a game..

When you stop and really think about it

We do have one twisted society.

There is already a game based on it.  Forgot what it's called but it's a subscription based FPS that you can download battle packs for that are based on real world battles.

Crappy game though.

Yeah, they recreated the battle where Pat Tillman died.  At the request of the Tillman family they removed his name an likeness.

Kinda tacky if you ask me

I agree,  why wave your fists in support when you could relieve a  ragged veteran being forced to stay in long past his service date?  Or donate a cupple of your children?

The Arab version of the battle for fallujeh

In a move that surprised news media, American requests cease fire in Fallujah.

American occupiers employed loud speakers to request a cease fire in the city to begin negotiations. According to Islam Memo's correspondent, heavy US losses are the main reason behind the American request. In the mean time, the puppet Allawi government, in an effort to save face, announced that they want to save innocent lives. Interesting indeed considering the hospital were the first facilities to be taken out and it have been the US and their Allawi collaborators have are the ones who have prevented aid from reaching the city.

Observers in Fallujah believe that the large American contingency currently surrounded and under siege by Mujahideen in the city also factors in to the request to halt military confrontations. Friday was a big turning point in Mujahideen favor. In Al-Jumjuria street alone, there are more than 40 destroyed and burnt tanks. Furthermore, the attack which destroyed the ice factory which housed tons of equipment, mechanized vehicles, and munitions, put a big damper on U.S. operations in Fallujah. With a great deal of fireworks planned for Eid, the Americans would be smart to quit while they still can.
