What is it about Rice that you don't like, as a potential Secretary of State?

She's a Bush automaton.

Now the whole Bush admin will be a bunch a bushies that will be more interested in what they CAN do instead of whether or not they SHOULD with noone with the balls to stand up to GW.

Powell didn't need to have the EXACT same views that bush did to get the job done.  I just worry that Rice will be more of a YES mame.

I agree that Rice tends to be more in line with the President than Powell was. I wouldn't go so far as to say that she's an automaton, or a yes man. Her neo-realism brand of foreign policy pre-dates her involvment with the current administration.  That is what strikes me as interesting that Yeager isn't a fan. As a General rule, those who would prefer Powell to Rice as Sec State would be those who are more internationalist in their foreign Policy. I wasn't sure if Yeager fell into that camp or not, which is why I asked the question.

So...for NSA do you think it would be Wolfowitz?  Or maybe Richard Pearle?  Bill Kristol possibly even.

Asuming Rumsfeld stays on, I do think Wolfowitz will end up the NSA.

To be honest though, I wouldn't mind seeing Rice to Sec Def, Wolfowitz to NSA, and then go fishing for a new face for Secretary of State.

Then again, Bush has yet to contact me for my opinion :p

Hey, how does that chain of command go again? If Bush dies, Cheney is in charge, if Bush and Cheney dies, then the acting Sec. of State is in charge..correct?

I'm sure hes got double the IQ than that of Bush

A man on wich u can see at first sight hes got good intentions.

A man with character that worked himself up as a blackman wich is not easy in the US.

First sight at Bush tells all.

No, it goes to the Speaker of the House, followed by the leading Senator, and then to the Sec. State.

It would take a lot of dyin.

A great man. He did a disgrace to himself by presenting the WMD party line in front of the UN but still...

I know that he won't run for President but IMO he will write down his name in history if he does.
