ground vehicles not workinng

I enjoy playing Aces high alot but i cannot get the tanks and vehicles to work i can get the engines started but i cannot move.  Maybe this is due the the fact i have a european keyboard but i don't know

Je suppose que tu parles Français car habitant en France  
En fait tu doit passer les vitesses (de memoire les touches sont Q et W et ensuite pousser sur le manche pour accelerer dans un sens ou dans l'autre .
