If you all these things, I might be able to help. RW is a small communication program that we use here Aces High.  Its a free download and available at www.rogerwilco.com  Please get rogerwilco and install it.  Then I am very EZ to locate.  Just tune RW to My IP (4.42.21.38) and start talking to me. A cheap headset/mic combo can be purchased at KMART.  About 10$.  If you CAN'T get a mic, its ok.
You must to speakers or headphones.  Its really important that you have rogerwilco installed and set up.  RogerWilco Help is web based and pretty ez to understand if you have any problems with RW Setup.  I hope to see you soon. Salute.

One additional note about RW.  If you are using it, be sure to set it to "wav" recording.  RW has problems running with direct sound recording.

Second, I ones had RW, but I could ONLY hear and NOT talk, configured everything possible, no luck   Maybe my sound card is only half duplex? ... I just need to know what kind of sound card I have and maybe then to d/l new driver...but I dont know HOW TO check my sound card.....!

Well, do you know what kind of soundcard you have?  That might help.

Most new soundcards are full duplex.

If you are not sure go to the Start button, then Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools and choose System Information.

Now choose the Components folder, and then the Multimedia folder.  It should tell you what the name of your soundcard is, along with lots of other info.

Art, after you left the TA arena last night, I got busy!  Had two newbies to AH on, one an AW vet(Instant) and Lassa, completely new to online sims.  Luckily Instant just needed a gunnery drone (Hey, Im good at that~!) and Lassa needed some basic instruction.  Murphy's law, if two trainers are in the TA, no one needs help, but as soon as one leaves, everyone needs help!

Out of intrest what type of system is it that you are running? I have had a lot of trouble getting RW to work on systems that have an integrated of "Built In" Sound card. They really have a tendancy not to work. Over here you can get a Creative Lab's Sound Blaster 64 for about £25-£30 and I try to run RW on a seperate card anyways so I can hear you guys chatting to me better

The best and most simple advice I could give you would be to go buy a new Creative Lab's sound card, bung it in your system. I am using one and they work great

just my £0.002 worth

Hey Rip, hows about we all use ICQ to keep in touch, I know myself I am always online with RW and can then be summoned to help with training as the need arises.
