Low alt bombers.

yawn...Heard it all before. Bombers did go low level in ww2.Not often but it did happen. I posted a Lanc Raid that was noe somewhere you can search for it.  If you can stop a set of buffs coming in at low alt I dont know what to tell ya. Maybe a lil time in The training arena will help. (or fly a plane with some cannons)

Something I almost never see in the MA (notice the qualifier almost) is people flying BarCap. This is not a cap over a field. BARCAP is barrier combat air patrol. What this means is you fly in front of the place you are defending not directly over it. Oh yeah there are people up defending but they are usually less than 10k. I cant tell ya how many times I have dropped my bombs then turned and came back and lost alt just so some fighters would try to attack.

I shot down 7 fighters in my 24s yesterday because every enemy fighter came in from my six. Learn where to attack buffs from and it should help, learn SA so you know where attacking bombers might come from so you can intercept them. I never blame the bomber pilot for coming in and waxing the FHS or CV or whatever I blame whoever is in the air gang**** the 1 spit or la7 that is attracting everyones attention so the bombers slip in unnoticed.

Here is the simple fix to this problem. Dive angle limiter on the bomb release. Anything over such and such angle +/-  bombs dont kick out.

Increase the number of AA batteries on fields and near towns.

Place Flak Towers (several 88mm's) in prime flight paths

Random AA postions that move on a daily basis.

Increase the AA capabilities of fleets to a more realistic level.

Anyone who has seen footage of AA barrages over Germany in WWII and from US warships in the Pacific theater, knows exactly what I mean.

AA guns should come back on line individually instead of all at once, first gun down will be first gun up.

Then if you want to hedge hop or dive bomb a medium/heavy bomber on a target..........

Now will the presence of all this extra AA/AAA change how the game will be played?

Yes, bombers (hopefully) will be back up at reasonable heights and the strikes will need to be larger, the vulching will involve higher risk (with aa guns coming back on line individually) and allow defensive elements to get up in the air.

Now, I will be putting on the asbestos  suit........
