They had a similar "demonstration" in San Rafael- right after the election a guy painted an upside-down flag on the side of his building, in full view of commute traffic. They also have protest billboards up and down Hwy 101- demanding everything from getting the USA out of the UN to asking the CHP to stop busting dope smugglers.

All of this is protected free speech- if a private citizen displays his support for President Bush by paying for billboard space then he has the right, just like the guy with the upside down flag on his building. Unless this billboard was paid for with tax money I see nothing wrong with it.

People taking pride and sharing hope in their newly reelected leader is what I see. In actuality it's nothing more than a picture of our president and a simple statement of irrefutable fact.

If some choose to see this as a slap in the face so much the better.

But why?  if its an irrefutable fact... why do it?

It cost money to do this and were there is money spent, there is an intention for an end goal.  I don't know what that end goal was, but I doubt it was intended to educate anyone that might have been accidently locked up in a bank vault for the last month or so.

It looks to me more like it's an overtly assertive statement of an irrefutable fact.....  and it looks wierd.

Lol  not saying it's a big conspiracy... it's just looks strange that it was done at all.

What's wrong with taking pride your country's leadership? What's wrong with trying to instill confidence in your fellow citizens? Happy and confident people are more productive and probably healthier I believe. What's wrong with that?

Wow... I disagree with this 100%.  To do that would be nothing but non-contructive and create even more diversity.

OK.... I can see that.

I think that the message should have been something a little more confidence inspiring than just  "Our leader".

I tried to think of something better but  went blank.

Well, that appeals to my antagonistic side.

Like many, if not most, I am sometimes guilty of seeing people in groups based on their outward appearance. In this case, it is  lumping folks together as sniveling, whiny liberals. The slap is only a matter of perception and if there is even a remote possibility it'll knock some sense into them then I'm all for it. I certainly don't intend to make any effort at reconciliation.

The liberal left is dividing this country...they'de rather whine like children than roll up their sleeves and make a difference.

Currently, they are strategizing on how they can win back the White House....it's comical. Gee...it couldn't be that their out of touch with the country could it? LOL!

Well...it's fun to watch on TV and here on this board as well.
