>>I'm not talking about a simple aileron roll, but I guess what you would call a "vector roll".<<

That sounds a bunch better. The loaded roll that you describe is a good way to shake an attacker..particularly one that gets so involved in watching what you appear to be doing that he forgets about throttle control.

Got to www.simhq.com,  look for the Air Combat Corner. There you can find articles on BFM maneuvers. Look for the "It's All A Matter Of Perspective" series. Some of the articles are written with AH in mind...you might want to check them out also.

Just get a hold of me in the arena and I'll show you multiple reversals.  The geometry and timing is not being said here.  The setup has not been explained, which is the most important part.  2d text explaining moving in 3 deminsions is a difficult task.
Though they do a great job of building the fight roughly.  Much better then I could ever explain with typing.  It is tough to get a cookie cutter move here with so many variables changing every second. The setup though can be the same, the transition point from the setup into the reversal needs to be explained and shown.  Transition point gives you more then one option to reverse depending on how the bandit reacts to your setup (lag or lead, etc)   Drop me an email and we'll hook up in the arena and go over the theory and then show you multiple times.

Great discussion guys.

sorry I dont have the time right now to get into more detail maybe I can send andy or leph some films and they can put it to type.
