There are just as many Muslims in the USA as Jews, and soon to be more if not allready.
Where was your Ramadan greeting?
So America is a Christian country, with minor numbers of other faiths in the low single digits with the largest being Jews and Muslims at around 1% each... Oh and I think Buddhists are up there too.
Happy whatever to them all..
Fine then happy Ramadan to the *******s too.
OR as a radio show host here calls it "ramadamadingdong"
But Ramadan isnt the reason for the season.
Hanukkah and Christmas is.
Im sure there is some verse in the Koran that can be applied during this time of year.
Funny thing. There is a large Indian population in my town now. So many in fact the town decided several years ago to stop putting up christmas/Hanuka decorations. including things like Christmas trees, decorations that symbolize the manora Even Santa Clause, elves etc etc.
My understanding is so as "not to offend" people who are non Christian or Jewish faith.
Now here is the funny part. Even though their faith is Hindu or Buddhist, You wont see a single Indian home that doesnt put up Christmas lights or have a Christmas tree Or tell their kids that "Santa" is coming.
And I have found very very few that do not wish me a "Merry Christmas
I've done work for many of these people. And as a matter of curiosity I've made a point of asking them about it.
Without exeption, while they dont share the same faith,
They dont want their kids to feel left out of the celebration and They think the whole idea of how we traditionally celebrate Christmas With the tree, Santa, exchanging tidings of good will, gifts and presents under the tree is simply a wonderful idea.
And these people themselves dont understand why the township stopped putting up the decorations, because they arent offended by them. In fact they embrace this tradition and are making it part of their own.
Yet the township so that they might not offend these people
