My take on things after 3 hours of sleep
« on: December 07, 2004, 10:33:44 AM »
I hate school. I don't know how I'm going to handle 3 more years of it when law school starts next year. I haven't even finished my applications. I don't know if I want to be a lawyer but, it seems, that's the direction in which I'm moving. I just want a job that pays well that involves writing.

I want to get married next year, and so does she, but she's really young and still says things like 'I want a puppy' every now and then during random pauses in conversations not related to pets. I think her dad might want to kill me. Not sure yet.

My dad is a self-made man, my hero, and I'm an idiot. No way in hell I can ever live up to him. He doesn't care if I ever do. Makes things harder.

I like it when it rains more than when it's sunny--mostly because it's better sleeping weather. I don't sleep enough. I wish I were sleeping right now.

Everything seems to be gloomy sometimes, but I'm told that I've got it great. I know I do. I'm told to imagine how crappy things could be. I don't like comparing down. Comparing up is depressing.

Apparently, I like to ***** and moan to people I've never met when I should be either sleeping or studying.

I'm so self-involved it's sickening. I wish masturbation could be a career. Sex is nice too, but my hand doesn't ask for stuff when I'm trying to get some shut-eye.

Thanks for the avatar, Nash

Look at it this way, you could have a job that is a compilation of Peter and Milton from Office Space.

Crack the books, study hard and someday you may save two yutes in Alabama.

Imagine what your dad was thinking about when he was about your age.

Quit you're worrying, down a few and get back to studying.  Either that or become a circus clown.

Neubob, what are you now, pre-law?

Take a break.  Don't burn yourself out.  Keep things interesting.  Save up some dough and travel for a year... or a few months even.  Get a taste of everything you can, but not too much so that your motivation to finish school fades.

Play it like the Big Lebowski... buy milk with a personal check.  Make a few white russians, and relax.

When you gain your second wind, then go back to school and finish strong.

Shyaddup, whiner.  I also managed 3 hrs of sleep last night, had to get up early this morning to finish studying for a test, and to tidy up my apartment because the management bastards gave everyone a note last night saying they'd be inspecting for some reason or another in the morning.  I studied, made some great notes for the test, cleaned up the place, then myself and headed for school ten minutes late . . . forgetting my squealing notes in the process.  On the way to school I got stuck behind some handsomehunk doing 25MPH for about a mile, then hit a train crossing just as the longest train evar was coming, which resulted in another 10 minute delay.  I ended up 25 minutes late to class.  Took the test, sans notes, and still managed a 83%, which was 10% above the average (Damn I'm a genius! or lucky with multiple guess).  Another half hour and I'm headed back for a two hour lab, in which we don't have all the necessary equipment, so we'll have to half-ass it and hope we manage to learn something.  Then, the remainder of the day will be spent doing homework crap online, in a cram to get everything turned in by the 8am deadline tomorrow.

On the other hand, Thursday begins my 3 week Christmas break from school, and although my job sucks ass, 20 hrs on the weekends ain't bad when you have the entire week off.  And hey, at least I'm not AKSW!

Woohoo, snow on Christmas!  If any of you cheesehead bastards find your way up to Eau Claire between Dec 23-27, I'd be happy to share some Christmas Booze with you.
