Dont you know? this is American where now it is common thought to adjust our ways to accomodate those from other countries instead of expecting those to adapt and learn ours.
 Example. We are exepriancing a large influx of people from spanish speaking countries from Mexico and South America.
 Are we expecting them to learn english? Noooo
But what we do have is several townships  Edison for example who now have it mandatory in their curriculum that starting in the first grade everyone has to learn how to speak spanish. Meaning Kids cant even move up to the next grade if they dont pass the spanish class each year.
 Even in my Daughters school they teach spanish (shes 8) for something like 1/2 hour a day.
Fortunately in her school it isnt mandatory to pass to move on to the next grade...yet
 I am wondering now how long before they also start teaching Hindu

I just got back from a cruise where I took a taxi tour while on St Thomas Island. There were few general traffic controls, few light controlled intersections (can't really remember one), lots of traffic and low capacity roads. An intersection would sometimes have four streams of traffic meeting at one point with the drivers doing various actions (straight, right turn, left turn, etc.).

However, the drivers were patient and cooperative. In spite of the traffic, and the apparent chaos, people worked with each other, let others pass in front even if it delayed their progress 10 -20 seconds, and when all was said and done it moved very well. What would have been gridlocked choke points full of selfish, impatient fuming drivers here was a minor inconvienience there.

That's because people in the US are retards when it comes to operating a motor vehicle.

Traveling at 10mph does not require you to sit there like a tard and follow the car in front of you by two freight truck lengths.

Drivers also sit there and read the newspaper, or turn around to talk to someone, or do other stupid crap.

Maybe it's just the DC area, but incompetence and motor vehicles seems to go hand in hand here.

bullshiat.  those punks didn't deserve to get run over but they were punks for thrwoing a golfball around in a parking area all the same.  I would be PISSED if a saw some kids doing that near my car.

Customs ?
It isn't really rocket science only common sense to figure a policeman trumps traffic lights anywhere in the world.


Speaking of culturally insensitive, my favorite story is about young brits visiting mallorca to burn 600 pounds during a week, drinking and behaving like barn-yard animals while wearing t-shirts saying "You hate us" with the flipside "... and we don't care"


And closer to home, I heard the swedish consulate in Athens has the unique distinction of being water 'hoosable' (to care for liquored (and  possibly puking) teens getting in trouble and seeking it out.
