Who was that Classy Man?
« on: December 09, 2004, 10:08:36 AM »
When I read Classy Man's post in Ripsnort's 'I don't get enough attention at home' thread last night, I didn't realize that this guy was actually the resident character actor of this board...

Does anyone have any info on this dude? He's pure genius, and I say this without a trace of sarcasm.

Here're some quotes:

If its HB he was very very secretive about it and he wasnt about the other account. Having been on vox with HB for 3 years I personly dont think its him. Hes smart enough to pull it off but I dont see anything there I recognize from HB.

Yea, it's him.

At least.. I'm about 99% sure it is him.  Thought there was one thread where he outed himself... something to do with cars and some big truck hitting a log or something.

HB said it was him, I don't have the thread where he said it, but I do remember it. Didn't all this start with the Bimmer forum?

Yeah, it was HB using that handle to troll some gay BigMoneyWaste forum that Rip posts lewd pictures of his car on.  I'm not sure that it's HB here though.

ClassyMan on the Beemerworld forums was HB.  I don't know if he used that alias here or not.

Well, I'm amazed.

I don't know who this HBlair guy is, but he's clearly got a promising career as the online Ali G in his future.

Neubob, here's one of classy's posts on Bimmerfest. He had me cracking up over there.

"i post this here because i find it hard to talk to anyone else about this problem. i am married for 1 year and my wife and i do not have a sexual relashionship, not normally anyway. i have a problem that some men wish they did have, but do not in any way. i have an unusually large jenitiliya. it's not something to laugh or make fun of so please don't. it keeps me from having normal relashions with my wife with sex. i have seen my doctor and he reccomends plastique surgery. but admittedly having somebody cut on my goober is appealing. (sorry for bluntness)

my question to bmw community is do you know of anyone who's had surgery like this? what advice do you have?it's imbarrasing to me big time.

serious posts only please."

LOL Classy shares his history of the BMW insignia, after someone asks if it's a propeller-

"I've heard this one too. sadly though, that is just hollywood drama made for the big screen. bmw didn't manufacture many airplane engines in wwII. The blue/white round crest is an impeller blade on a water pump. The blue is the water. The white is the blade. Bmw built many irrigation pumps for use in holland during the war to dry out the land the germans were taking. that's where the hood crest came from. many died in the wool bmw men don't weant to hear this. this is from a reliable source though."

He even got a response!:D

"I think I must chime in here.

Hey classy act, who sent you ? Are you working for Daimler-Chrysler or what ?

Your 'vast' knowledge about BMW history is amazing. The Allach factory, which was producing airplane engines until 1960 , has even produced turbines for GE used in the F105 Starfighters engines.

In addition to this, by 1944 there were 20.000 workers in the Allach works. You are saying that BMW didn't manufacture many aircraft engines during WWII. What do you think 20.000 men did ? Played blackjack ? Backgammon ?

After the war, the Allies used the factory as a vehicle maintenance facility.

Quandt sold the factory in 1960 to MAN along with a Starfighter engine contract.

As for the roundel (hood crest in your terminology) it is a spinning propeller and nothing else.

So, now dig up your books and read the Beemer (  ) history again.

Oh, I would really like to know the name of that book about the water pumps and the related roundel history."
