As an aside from observing a thread in the "GamePlay Feed Back and Requests" forum I noticed that some new/old people may not be comfortable with how to land in Aces High but can furball with the best. I know going to the TA and engaging a trainer is the best method for learning this, but, if anyone is willing, a few A-Z pointers might help. A step by step check list perhaps.

Here is a basic for what I do. "Only if you have fuel and power".
A. I set a final aproach of 3 miles and 2000 feet above ground level of the feild.
B. I dump speed and throttel back to achieve this state. Crabbing with opposite rudder and alerons will help.
C. I slow down at final to the point I can drop several notches of flaps. Then drop gear. U.S. planes you can drop a notch of flaps to help slow down at about 300+-.
D. I trim my nose full up at this point and begin a controlled descent. You may have your throttel fully reduced or a bit engaged. As you decend and drop more speed you can lower your flaps all the way. You may need a touch of power to control your glide angle.
E. As you decend your nose may be blocking your view of the runway. It's ok to drop it for a moment to get a view. When you are 1/4 mile out the runway will begin filling your view.
F. As you come over the end of the runway you will need to increase power a bit to make your nose pull up a little and cause you to flare changing your decent to a flight path parallel with the ground. You will be 50ft+- from the ground at this point.
G. By adjusting your throttle a tiny bit and holding your nose slightly up your plane will decend slowly to the runway. With practaice you will be able to use the throttle to keep you from that annoying big bounce on touch down.
