Bomb's Vs. Gv problems...
« on: December 12, 2004, 07:43:46 PM »
Just recently I took an A20 out and went GV bombing.  I had 8 500 pound bombs.  Unless I actually bounced the bomb off the tank, the tank wouldn't go down (Panzers, T34's and Ostis).

2/8 of the bombs I actually hit the tank dead on top (I watched the bomb drop).

5/8 of the bombs landed and exploded so close to the tank that the tank was just on or inside the edge of the crater.

1/8 of the bombs I just whiffed bad.  My own fault.

This isn't right.

Think thats bad -
In a moving panzy, P47 comes in low from the side at 90 degrees and uses 50cals to take out tracks on BOTH sides in one pass.
Explain that one.

I think bomb damage done to armored vehicles feels ok. What's missing though is flipping them over :D

ccvi, I believe HTC said nexted release would have turrets that come off, and Ive flipped a tiger on a enemy port once, stayed there upside down for atleast 2 hours while about 10 panzers shot at me point blank. Then with the neverending printle and hull gun hits on my tiger. BAH! That noise gets annoying quick.

direct hit a panser with a 250 kg (500+ lb) bomb and it did no apparent damage.  Have a film and was verified visually by others nearby.  Tank was stationary an was left directly in middle of crater.

I agree.. Something is fishy here with the A20 and gv bombing.. I bombed a stationary panzer with 6 500lb bombs all but one was RIGHT on top of him and he didnt die.. This was not the case before because i could go out and get 5-6 gv kills with a full load out in an A20..
