You mean Spitfire Ace?  The BBC(?) documentary?

If so - Very good, make sure you watch the last episode where they let the RAF BoB Ace fly a Spitfire one last time, and he puts it into a lovely lazy barrel roll.

watching it while I work.  The spitfire is a 4 prop job tandem seat trainer type.  Been very enjoyable show so far.

Very very good show.  It was emotional to see the BoB pilot had his chance to fly it again.  

I keep wondering though: where are the hispano barrel thingies that protrude from the wings?  Aren't they part of the wing itself?

Oh, and they called it a Spit9 iirc, but that tail keeps making me think Spit8.  I thought 9s didn't have that pointy stab.

One of the Vetren's secrets while flying was adding a slight amount of rudder whenever he flew level. He said on multiple occasions he would see enemy tracers pass by his cockpit all to one side because of his flight path. Wonder if this would be helpful aganst B&Zers in the MA?  Gona try it for awhile, see what happens.

I was referring to formation flying after he RAF (pilots and squadrons mostly) was looking into new tactics after the realization of the use of outdated tactics.

Also misquoated him for the lack of exact words. Couldnt understand all of the talking being done due to age, but mostly accent.
