Welllllll... I don't want to bore people and I sure don't want anyone thinking I'm home crying in my beer.
I had a recheck at Anderson on the 6&7th. Scanned my chest, abdomen and pelvis and said no new lesions and all those things in my liver look the same.
Doc said go forth and get back to doing what you do.
There still is that little problem area in my liver. Remember that tumor that I mentioned as "The remaining one is a 1.8cm one that "enhances differently than a hemangioma"?
Well, what the actual MRI radiologist report said was that it looked "typical" for a metastasis from the kidney.
My urologist/kidney suregeon however, says there is almost "no chance" of that given the type of kidney cancer and the stage/grade. So he's saying the chance is as close to zero as there is.
They want to rescan me in 3 months and see if that lesion changes. If it does, they'll biopsy.
I'm having a detailed chat with my local doctor who is a very sharp guy this afternoon. He talked with my surgeon and initially wanted immediate biopsy but after the chat, he now agrees with the surgeon.
I'm not really sure what it all means but if it IS kidney cancer that metastasized to my liver, there isn't much to talk about.
I can't control that, so I'm just trying to get on with my life.
MD Anderson is supposed to be real good at cancer and their guy says studmuffingeddaboudit.
I'm trying to do that.
Still cheerfullyl accepting all prayers, good wishes and postitive energy!
