" The operating income forecast for 2005 excludes initial marketing and start-up costs for the no late fees program.
A customer will have a one-week grace period after a rental due date. If a movie or game is not returned during that week, it will be automatically sold to the customer. If the item is then returned within 30 days, the customer can get a credit to his account."
Actually thats a very good system imo.
I dont usually rent movies, but when I do i rent those that i missed seeing in theaters almost a year ago.
Im not a great movie watcher and only go to the theaters when an exceptionally good movie comes out (aka LOTR)..the rest i just pass by and rent whenever i have the odd feeling to rent movies (like once every 4 months lol).
But many times I go to BB or other stores and find the movies id like to watch under a 3 day return policy.
And with stuff in life sometimes you cant watch it that night or in the 2 days after so i end up watching it on the 4th day and returning it on the 5th.
Late fee.
I go less and less to rent movies because of it. Heck i even downloaded movies from the 'net because id rather watch them in my schedule even at low quality picture than to pay a late fee.
But now if BB does this no late fee thing you can bet im gonna go rent me some of them anime movies and oldie films ive wanted to watch and knowing i have a good amount of time to return it.
Perhaps i should get a free pizza with them too
