the 05 came, or is coming out too late for the Fun Ford Weekend stuff. Basicly its over. Or it is over.

Its nothing special really. Mid to high 13's. I forget who ran it, but a magazine took one to the track and went 13.6 at 99mph. Pretty crapy. Considering the 04s' Stock GT's running consistant low 13s all day long.

They have gotten the gearing very wrong with the 05's... In the autos and that has got its trap speeds way down. The motor is in a bad spot when it hits the traps. Thats for autos tho. Sticks are a different story have a much larger variable (driver). If the driver sucks, so will the times. But I haven't seen any results from a 5spd 05 GT yet. 5spds can laucher harder than a stock auto car... If it can get hocked up. So you can expect its times to be a little better due to faster 60ft times.

Spring is, well its coming.

I've only seen one 05 going down the road here and I wanted to ram it. Ugliest thing on the road and whats worse is its wearing a mustang badge. Thats just IMO.

Vetts are over priced cobras. At the track we piss on them all day and night. Even the Z06's arent anything special. They have alot of power, but if you hook it up, get ready to replace half shafts. For the price, they just aren't worth it. Not for a street/strip car. Besides I HATE them with a passion. Ugly, they sound like crap, and you feel like your laying on the ground when driving the dam thing.

A vett, and the guys who drive them always reminded me of sleezey, old men, with mustaches, who stare at young girls.

Besides, with Mustangs, I can build one for half the price of a vett, piss all over them and still have money left over to take his girl out who likes me now because my car is faster. AND sounds better. 8)

gonna have to disagree with you about Vettes not being worth it. $ for $ a stock Z06 is the best bang for the buck. I wasnt a huge fan of the C5 styling but I do like the C6, and with at least 500hp, its gonna rock.

Please dont use the ricer "I could buy a (insert cheap car) and do it up for half the price and it would go faster blah blah" argument, cause at the end of the day, yer still driving a stang, which I think are butt (2005 model excluded, nice styling work Ford). It is however, a good time to be a car guy, no matter what your poison.

Comparing a Vette to a lowly Stang is almost laughable .

Maybe for a honda terdlet. Vetts are nice. If you like to waste your money on a name. Because your paying alot of money for a Corvette Tag. Bang for buck, a mustang will always be faster. Always. And I think this is where you "car" namely they vett lovers, aren't following me here. Build for build, dollar for dollar, a mustang will always cost less to build because in the vett world you are going to pay more for everything you buy than I will. Much more.

And what fun would it be for a Mustang guy to agree with a Vett guy? Let alone not break his balls for all the money he spent.
