Build for build, dollar for dollar, a mustang will always cost less to build because in the vett world you are going to pay more for everything you buy than I will. Much more.

And what fun would it be for a Mustang guy to agree with a Vett guy? Let alone not break his balls for all the money he spent. :D

LOL beetle. You try so hard. And honestly its so cute. But I have to tell ya. I really never liked ya brits. So we could never be what you want us to be. :)

Read in a magazine 13.3@104 w/ 1.86 60' on a stock 05 GT 5spd.  My first thought, that's LS1 territory.  Too bad they quit making SS's.  I'd love to see what they did to compete with an '03/4 Cobra.

No matter what car, Fords still make me vomit. Especially where I live where every ex-football player who graduated high school 5 years ago and still works at a pizza place still drives a POS beat up Mustang 5.0 while Daddys girls drive the nice and brand new Mustangs and beat them up.

Ive been racing lots of fords

I have been racing mustangs, and many other Ford products as well. In a game that has been getting Hi reviews ever since its release, in fact I traded in my yak for a set of online keys to my virtual race world

The game is Toca Race Driver 2, $30.00 american, comes with free unlimited server access by Gamespy. I race under the handle Rollin22"Pirrelli (cause I do) Im not great, but I have alot of fun. Got the Logitech "Momo" steering wheel for $99.00 american. rock solid thru 1st month.

the game must be sponsored in some way by ford, because so many of the cars are fords or ford owned companies(Range rovers, Jags, Cobras). But even a diehard GM guy like myself can appreciate the excellent gameplay, and the free server host. Plus there are other cars im not certain are Ford owned, like Nissan skylines, Subaru WRXs, Mitsubishi Evos and many more.

If you like racing, its well worth it.

And there is definitely not anything more hilarious than watching some l`il yup wannabe sitting atop of a dayglo ricer in what appears to be some sort of evil torture position, looking like Richard Simmons on the way to a workout down at Pansies R Us with the little meltdown magnet going DIIIIIINNNggggggg DiiiiiiiiNNNgggggg DiiiiiiiiNNNNGGG DIIIIiiiiiiiinnnnngggggg..... .....SPLAT.
Last year me and The Beast errrrrrrrr I mean my wife were tooling down the street when I heard that most annoying ding ding ding sound. I looked in the rearview ad saw Kamikazee Jr fast approaching on his dayglow steed. He whooped into the left lane, barely cleared us, then started back to the right lane. Wasn`t but one prob. Half way in lane transition this mental midget decided it would be cool to grab another dingster ratio . She broke loose and it was a most beautiful site. Ricer end over end with shiny dayglow pieces scattering like china at a rodeo during bull riding.
I got the now broken ankled dingmaster out of the street, borrowed a cardboard box from a station owner and collected the shiny little pieces for him.
I shared a few thoughts with him on pride, history and self destruction.
I saw him last week on a Springer along with a somewhat top heavy L`il thing on the back.
Nothing like showing a youngster the error of their ways and instilling a little self pride in them.
Barnett would have been very proud of the way that T looked on the passenger. :D

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha Jackal lol. I think I might buy another one posibly. Talking about riding really makes me want one again. Richard simons. bahahahah.

Thats why I stuck with  the 750. I can't imagine, what riding a hyabusa would be like. I did ride a 1000, (gxsr's ofcourse.) I liked it better than the 750 but the shrecker was just too tempting to give it more gas! lol faster faster!

There is a huge bike show near me that goes on every sunday, from the spring, till the end of summer or half way into fall. I made friends there with some guys and got talking about his Harley Soft tail. Sounds kinda kinky dont it? Anyways, he hated ricers, he told me that I should take his bike when we went out, and he would take mine, so I would understand why ricers suck. At first I didnt want to, because his bike was worth probaby 2 maybe 3 times more than mine lol. I only paid 6k for mine. Anyways, I road it up and down this side street a few times then got comforatble with it. So i came back and said, Lets go! haha. We had some hotdogs for lunch, got mounted up, and went for a ride. Him and his buddies, and mine and mine lol. Maybe 10 or 12 ricers with 6 big ol harley dudes mixxed in. lol Somewhere I have pictures of this. Anyways, to make a long story short, that guys Harley Soft tail felt like I was riding an EZ chair down the highway. And it wasn't as slow as I had thought. Still, I know it couldnt sit up on 1 for a mile or so. hehe, but it was nice.

But I saw a picture of me on it, lol... And it just didnt look right. I needed about 50 or 60 extra pounds, in the gut area, a huge long grey beard, a leather vest with some skull pins lol... And maybe two or three more tattoos. Oh yeah, and a fat girlfriend lol. :D

Going really fast in a straight line isn't racing.

If a car runs low 13's on street tires then the difference between 14's and 13's is all driver and/or track.   Getting out of the 14's on street tires in a 13 sec car requires a good track.  If you haven't driven at a quarter mile track before you will be shocked at how slippery it is.

A vette is a very capable car.   A mustang is a very good deal.   rice burners are a good deal and... as jakal pointed out.... pretty darn embarassing... they are disco shoes and shirts of today...  a really really really ugly interpretation of the whole cafe racer trend that started in the 60's

I went to the Harley shop with my brother to get a oil pump part for his early shovel...  the "parts" counter was a glass case of jewlery ...  It was hidden back in a far corner of the huge unisex gucci clothing wharehouse that was the main feature of this "largest Harley shop in Northern Ca,"

and ....we were told the parts were "obsolete".   The people that ride Harleys now are the people who were afraid of us when men rode Harleys.

Harleys are more dependable and live longer and are faster.. and.... women can ride em now.   I would say that they are less than they were tho.

I am gonna market a fake kick starter for the new bikes... it will have the starter button at the bottom of the kick stroke so all these posers can look even more cool.

Ummm I'm not sure i understand what you mean when you say faster...?

My bike was breaking into the high 10s' on a hellishly hot summer day. The only harleys I've seen that were that fast, were ones that where so heavily modified, you could just about tell it was sitll a harley. I'm really not a bike guy at heart. Which is why I sold it. It was keep the bike and sell my mustangs or keep the cars and sell the death trap. If I didnt have all the money and work, along with the good memories in the cars, I might have kept the bike.

Still, mustangs own Vetts 9 out of ten times at the track. :D

new Harleys are faster than an old panhead.   What is so hard to understand?   Women didn't ride old panheads... they couldn't kick em over and no two Harleys were the same.

I would also say that "track" is pretty nebulous.... the Texas mile for instance saw no mustangs going 200 mph but serveral vetts... Any track with corners on it is going to be a pretty good vett track.

I like mustangs...even owned a few but... they are not half the car a vett is... that is fine tho... they cost half as much... mostly.

I have rode several hyboosas and 1000 screwzukis out in the country wher no one could see me... they are friegteningly fast.  no matter how fast they are tho... they are not fast enough for me to force myself to actually ride one in public.

When one of those show tunes guys in the day glow outfit and the helmet the size of a large pumpkin gets off of one of those silly looking bikes it is all I can do to keep from laughing...  I know they are fast and all but... sheesh... they are really really funny looking.

Oh, my bad. Sorry for not reading your mind on that one.

you said... "harleys are more ......" Not than, Not "harleys of today..." Just harleys. And it sure looked like you were saying Harleys period are more of what you mentioned than street bikes. I guess I missed the connection you were trying to make between old and new.
