I would think the sandstorm would be a good time to catch some sleep... but the picture before that, I don't think I could fall asleep with my feet in the road like that.  The thought of some tank driver not watching where he was going would be constantly taunting me.  :p

But really... to those guys!  And a big to that camel spider for being such a good sport!

Camel spider often found in soldiers sleeping bags. And from a few conversations Ive had with some Marines just come home, they said camel spiders like A/C. :p

Jeez, and I thought the Cane Spiders here were big.  Those things could have starred in that 8 Legged Freaks movie.

Those things aren't actually that big.  The things holding them are a pair of tweezers.  Judge the size off of that.

They aren't that venomous, but they are aggressive as hell.

Which is more due to the properties of the japanese cars than those of the spiders ;)

Ok... so I was curious and I googled the camel spider.  It is indeed venemous.  It uses a venom that works like a local anestetic, and does so to numb the skin so you can't feel it eating your flesh.  They call them camel spiders because they attach themselves to the stomachs of camels, inject them, then eat their stomachs from the outside in

Apparently they can run 25mph and scream like crazy when they do.

Gotto love a spider that isn't there for draining blood, but instead just eating you whole.   Bwahahahahaha  this thing is cool, I think, if I had a choice, I'm goin Navy  :aok
