call this a whine if you will but many do it
what is with the gv modleing....last night im in a panzer. i hear a T34 rolling toward me..(im waiting on the other side of a hill)..as i see him toping the hill(at point blank range) i take a shot at his turret....ricochet......so i take a shot at his under belly(right under the drivers seat)...hit....still coming over....another shot at his turret....ricochet.....a shot into his drivers window.....ricochet....anothe r shot at his turret....ricochet.......he takes 1 shot at me....BOOM...im in the tower......all these shots were done at point blank...right on the cross hairs
this happens alot on other tanks too.....even the mighty tiger should no be able to withstand a point blank shot to the turret.....and how can a round fired from a tiger into the turret of a T34 tiger and a panzer at point blank ricochet....these are not shots off to the side or anything like that...this is with the cross hairs pointed straight down the barrel of there tank i can understand some ricocets at a bit of a distance say beond 16 on the scope but tha massave ricochets at 8, 4, and point blank is to much....please figure out some solution:(

Loony. I love the cat_n_mouse games that can be had in gv,s . :)
However i too think there are many...yes i said many issues with the gv model. And honestly i know HTC has worked on the endlessly. But i am thinking that they might never be fixed. Maybe its just too complicated?
I have a question. Would it be proper modeling to lob a round from high atop a hill at say 2300 yrds Directly on top a panzers turret 15 20 rounds and never do any damage? I have done this countless time. I would think the nme turret or something would take damage. Does the HE or AP rounds lose lethality the longer the range? If so, is this proper modeling? Or is it just game modeling?

Tend to agree, shots under a certain range will almost never ricochet.
Yet I have rounds bouncing off soft skinned GVs and M8s from less than 600.
Still waiting on a reply from HTC on whether target vehicles speed is taken into account, as I believe that this may be causing the majority of difficulties/problems.

Strangely enough -
Before the terrain upgarde on OzKansas in the GV island area.
Was possible with a Tiger to hit vehicles from one VH to another, range of around of 4km and get a kill.
Why mention this?
Well the longest kill recorded ever was in the Gulf War using a Challenger tank at 2.5 miles. Seems like the damage model may be ever so slightly FUBARED in AH2.
