Can anyone recommend a good, free antivirus program? My subscription to PC-cillin expired, and when I tried to update it just keeps downloading the same pattern, then tells me its out of date and offers to download an update, which turns out to be the same pattern as I already have.

Yup...

AVG is the best thing going...been using it for 4+ yrs never had a problem...

Another free program, Avast! antivirus.

AVG is great , I had Norton System Works 2003 and swore by it , until my computer started acting really really funny , So I talk to a freind who suggests to uninstall Norton and install something else .

So I install AVG and run it and it finds 8 Trojan Viruses ,some of which are in my system restore and cant be cleaned .

I'll stick with AVG from here on out
