alright,
I sent my girlfriend out shopping to get a little piece of mind and quite. Anyway, she's been moodswinging and off on this political rant ever since John Kerry lost the election. I keep telling her to settle down and we'll get 'em in 2008. But she keeps going on and on about politics. I really miss the sweet little vegan girl, but this new person is really creeping me out. I'm at a loss as to what to do....

i would prefer even hilary over bush hah. umm i'm with your girlfriend on this one =P but it sounds like a good idea to get her involved in something else, like art classes or even shopping. she can go buy all the anti-bush merch she can find lol.

We did that at a holloween party - man we were hammered! Anyway I had on someone's "GWB" mask - and was chasing my girlfiend around the house (she went as a kitty) Anyway - we ended up in bed with the mask and ears still on...lmao
We now call that night affectionlity "The Dirty Republican"
So - I think the next time she see's the mask - she might equate it to something else...
Then again - could be the whole reason she's on this rant..if I only wore a Kerry mask......lmao

I don't really get what she did "wrong"...I mean, many vegans are invested in liberal and/or radical politics, and have every reason to be angry/worried about Bush being president for four more years and no desire to just wait around until a Republican gets elected. Instead of just dismissing her as creepy, try to talk intelligently to her about politics and help her figure out how to take action. People usually just rant a lot when they're not doing anything to make what's bothering them better.

Kiri - I don't know - she has seem to swung pretty far Liberal. I mean - some of the stuff she says at some times is so misconstrued.
I mean she thinks that Macy's is right for calling christmas trees "holiday trees".
I lean more liberal than middle of the road, but it just seems shes not using any common sense.
I've gotta run - she should be coming home soon. will catch up later.

well she just called - and she'll be out for another hour or so.
Anyway - I think she's just upset that she didn't vote...
seems like she trying to make up for her lack of action now by venting. BUT MAN, it's gets annoying....la- la - Bush is to blame...la-la Kerry should've won..lala on and on. Even about stuff she's ignorant on. (she doesn't read or investigate stuff on her own, just listens to what some of her , what I call "uber-radical" friends, say when they have vegan recipe cooking parties) - she blames Bush or the repulicans..or the "power-mongers" thats her new word for this week...It think it being Christams time and her starting to call "christams trees" "holiday" trees is just one more button she's trying to push on me.
Anyway - it just gets really old...

Well -
Just got up and making some coffee -g/f still sleeping. I decided I'm gonna sit her down today and have a talk with her. I plan on making some wonderful vegetable soup for dinner so we can talk about it then. She has a yoga class in the afternoon, so at least then I'll have some quiet time to think about it before hand... keep ya posted.

HOLY CRAP! - It's over!!!
Well I get in from running some errands to check on the soup. All of a sudden my girlfriend starts screaming bloody murdr..so I go running back to the bathroom to see whats wrong. Well she's up on the sink while a cute little bluish grey rat has her in it's sights. Any she's totally frantic - so I grab a towel and throw it over the rat. Then wait for it to stop squirming and grab it and start to take it outside to the kitchen while my girlfriend is yelling "be carefull! don't hurt it" - Any I get to the kitchen to open the backdoor to let it out and the little M/F'r bites me and I jerk my hand away - well, instead of dropping to the ground, the towel flings the rat up into the air and against the wall and right into the soup! Holy crap - so it's screaming and I fish it out and place it in the sink with cold water and some ice. She starts bawling her eyes out now, And I'm looking at the rat and it's not doing so hot. And I'm thinking that I should put it out of it's misery even though I hurts me to do so. I feel terrible now, but that's what I did. My girlfriend pleaded with me - but she owuld never get close enough to see how bad it was in pain. I had to - It looked to be in so much pain.
Anyway, My girlfriends in the bed crying her eyes out - and her cellphone rings - I look at the number? WTF? Starbucks?
I answer it and just listen.."Hello...hello...Amanda? Hey - are you there - can't talk right now I'm at work....Do you want to get together again tonight?" So I answered "Sure darlin' - What time?" He hung up.
So my day has been pretty crappy today - I'm pouring myself into a bottle of scotch - burying a rat - and the off to starbucks to give the little pantywaist a Venti Arse-whooping. Or maybe I'll take him a cup of soup.

Point out that there are more important things in the world, .like animal rights. I'm English and we don't really make that bigger deal about elections, and in Suffolk where i live, only about 30% of people actually bother to vote. It's really not that bigger deal. Tell her to get a life
