Toaster shorted out from the weeping. Shocking, really.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

You're realy a tool Rip.

I haven't been around because I've moved my parents into my home for what will probably be my Stepdads last days on this earth.

Somethings in life are more important than this BB's ***** slapping matches.

For those who don't know, my Stepdad flew B25G's in N. Africa.

I realy and truly feel that his generation will always be regarded as the greatest that this country has ever produced.

I would send ya a one finger salute Rip, however, you being uninformed about my situation I'll take a Democratic tac and just hope that you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a happy and profitable new year...< smooch >

Lars, my very best to your Stepdad and tell him I appreciate and honor his service. He won't be forgotten.

My dad flew a brand new H model from San Fran to New Guinea. On arrival, he was assigned to a war-wary C model. He was a bit disillusioned.  ;)

You're right, they were "men of men" as Ruark said. I think Brokaw had it right and did us all a great service by reminding us.

"I realy and truly feel that his generation will always be regarded as the greatest that this country has ever produced. "

ya know... this mayh be the only thing weeping toast boy has ever said that I agree with...

still... I think it was unconsionable of him to drag out all those old befuddled folk and drive em to the polls on election day... the worst sort of vote mining in my opinion.

all in all tho... I am glad that someone drove by and pulled his unconsious body from the oven before he did himself in.

Yeah, giving seniors a chance to cast their vote was in bad taste, huh.

FYI, those trips to the polls were for everybody, not just Dem voters.

Merry Christmas Laz2, may the comming year see a Laz2 who sees past party affiliation when delivering help and compassion to his fellow man.

I notice not one apology from the high and mighty for ripping on him while his Dad is on his deathbed. Bravo! You are showing your true colors.

MrLars, my sincere condolences for you and your family.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Merry Christmas

Tell your stepfather that a lot of us still remember and appreciate what he and generation accomplished. The sacrifice and commitment to a worthy cause, well done.

Apology? I guess first I'd have to know his situation, considering he hasn't posted since right before the election....

Anyway, good to see you back MrLars!  Hope all is well with your family.
