Quit crying, just post actual bugs and let HT keep working on it for Pete's sake. Then a few months after release when any other bugs are squashed, if you still can't play then find something else.  <-- for nopoop

Most disturbing to see all the crying in this thread. I dont see how that was any help to Cobra's question.
You guys need to stick with the topic, or start in a new thread in the proper place.
I thought this was bug reports...

Heh, so your squad is threatening to come apart because of a Beta?  What's your squad?  The Uptight Betty Crocker Brigade?  :p

Just teasing...

My FPS soared in this release and played great.  Nvidia GeForce 4 4600 card here.

Ditto frame rate drop.  6800GT / ASUS Nforce 2 / 512mb / sb Audigy 2

...edit dito the white squares as the textures load up.  the white squares are really bad if you inadvertantly tab out to the desktop and back also.

...note, odd as it may seem the game doesn't seem as framey as the FPS reading would indicate and I haven't tried a 3rd party FPS indicator like FRAPS to confirm the reading.

Hitech, running 2.26 pent 4, geforce40 card and still going strong,
can't run annimated water as card doesn't support it. Thats OK, because I don't want to yak every time i fly FUI. (flying under the influence). And the non moving water is ok with me. Can't imagine going into a hard roll in my f4 on the deck with animated water and me FUI. It would be dinner awayyyy. Patch hasn't hurt me at all, but the new smog is affecting my lungs at low alt.

Game Rocks, I can't even imagine what this game will look like in five years, ..............full I-MAX cockpits, with force feedback.

Interesting.....this thread was started on 06/2004
Are we replying to the proper patch?
PS.....the fog “(Smog) effect has helped my FR...But only in open sky conditions. In base cap or other med to heavy traffic conditions my FR is the same as it was 3 patches ago.
I think many have speculated that the fog effect was added in an attempt to improve FR. Is that truly the reason the (Smog) was added? I wouldn’t think so.

LOL since the thread was so old I hoped nobody would catch that I was responding to the wrong thread, I had both open is my only excuse (both threads and more than a few FYI containers).  BUT  yes, I have just lost 40 some odd FPS... I was running 60 something average and now it shows 20 something average in the CTRL I display.  Again I didn't FRAPS it yet I guess I'll do that tonight.
