Wht kind of commie crap is that?  Everyone deserves to live as well as they can.  Don't be jealous, be determined, if that is what you want out of life.

Don't mean to.

How many people he made rich. also how may people he ruined or screwed over in the proccess.

Sorry to be cynical but it just seems alot of times the people who aquire that kind of wealth always seem to be the people who least deserve it as humans.

There are some . Lucky ones.
But those are few in comparison.
Least it seems so in my experiances.

I know I'll never get there. Seems Im too honest and prefer to give people a fair shake, a fair deal.
Problem there is when I'm fair with people I never seem to get anywhere

The only times I seem to REALLY make out is when I've turned the screws on people. Then I just didnt feel right afterwards.

So I'll probably never have that kind of wealth.

But I am very wealthy in other ways.
Ways that no amount of money can buy.
Two superfantastic kids.
A very small buisness that is MINE all mine. No timeclocks or bosses BS to put up with.
The self pride that comes with a clean conscience and knowing I am VERY  VERY good at what I do

thats enough.
Sorry for venting

I don't care how many surveillance cameras that place has, it looks to be out in the boonies.  Have fun with the target practice, new owner :)

Big houses and stuff is not just 'pointless luxury', its an investment.

Its a property that can be bought or built and later on (decades even) be sold for the same amount (or close to it) or even for profit.

Just like paintings, jewels, etc. And the more flamboyant (advertise power) they are the better the price.

and... if you invest ...why not live in it and enjoy it anyway?

Nice house, but I prefer my own by the ocean. Big enough too, I dont need a map and a ton of stangers going through my porn when they clean it.

Laser I dont mean this as an insult but what year are you into school. Because the way you talk I dont think you have a real good grasp on what your actually going to school for. I also have a degree in Architectural Engineering and trust me you are going to school to become an architect not an engineer. The only difference is that your education is more well rounded. But for you to be bashing architects is absurd.

Can you explain to me why they keep insisting on designing buildings with flat roofs?

They ALL leak. All of them.
Least I've never seen one that didnt. And usually within the first 5 years

Even ones with a slight pitch would be better then the totally flat ones that keep getting put up.
I understand that in office buildings there are mechanical units that need to be mounted on the roof but they could just as easily be mounted on a metal grate platform that would allow water to pass through

I think you're talking about the boxes.

Some buildings that you see are buildings. And some buildings are just the boxes that the other buildings came in.

Actually, in the desert, flat roofs are fine.  It is only when you move the design to areas not suited for it do you see leaks.
