game crashes when taking off

I think i may have soundcard problems, everything seems fine start engines then boom, game crashes. comp restarts.

plz help, just DL'd game I can't wait to become part of community

The default settings of the game may be taxing your system.

At the welcome screen at the start of the game select " video setup" and reduce everything in there to its lowest setting.

Enter the game and in the tower screen select "setup" from the choices on the clipboard the "video" then "graphic details" and reduce everything to bare minimum.

There are many reasons for a CTD, many of them are driver related.  Also, are you running Win98 or WinXP?  I know I have the SB Live! 5.1 card, and I had no end of troubles with it when I was running the Win98 .vxd drivers.  The WinXP drivers worked fine.

Having the report will let Skuzzy point out possible problems for you.  Good luck!

also, if you have just downloaded the game, make sure that you have the latest directX (9.0c I believe).
