BTW... Bruce Smith is the all time sacks leader.  Reggie held the lead when he retired in 2000, but bruce passed him in 2003.

Also, I had forgotten that Bruce Smith, another one of my favorite players, had surpassed Reggie White's record.
In any case, another of the NFL's great ones is gone.

Living in central NJ I've gotten to see, and hear ALOT of RW
in the last 15-20 years.
And thats the first time I've ever heard the term racist applied or associated with his name.

Didn't Reggie White lead a prayer for the Senate or Congress and get lambasted for it?  I seem to recall him either leading a prayer before a session of one of the governmental bodies, or maybe addressing them, and getting hammered for being so blunt and "un"politically correct.
