Pathetic how you try to twist everything to politics.

Your Welcome Patrone,

You gotta realize that we yanks get criticised for just about anything we do.  If we sent navy ships, some would say we are sending too much military.  Then they'd say we arent sending enough military because they realize that it is full of medical specialists, and various other needed logistics.

but seriously,

Your welcome

Thank you again.

Just a little suprised, in a good way, over this splendid manuever.

And while we are at it: Please make sure you dig deep in your pockets, not only for the nickels and dimes.

You see patrone we have given over 40% of all the relief aid given to the world last year. This is just the aid that the government  has given. I personally gave $20,000 to the Red Cross. Thats 10% of the French contribution so far, but lets not go there. After one day ....THAT'S ONE DAY.... some Moron at the UN begins complaining that we need to give more...we must raise taxes and give more. I am beginning to get a little annoyed at these clowns at the UN and trust me on this "I'M NOT ALONE".

Careful now, these boys take it personal when you suggest to dig deep into the pocket books.

You might want to look at how some of those non-US people reacted in that thread.  Disgusting IMO.

FWIW, American's alone have so far donated 70 million and the Gov't 35 million.

And a Merry Xmas to you to Ripsnort :)

In the end, it is not what your goverment gives or what you pay in tax: In the end it is what you give, by heart.

(I will not start a debate on who is giving what and what kind of amounts, it is not relevant in this case, sorry.)

FWIW, Swedes alone have so far donated 40 million and the Gov't 70 million. (9 million citizens live in sweden)
