What happened to Pizza?

Often scorned, derided, and generally complained about: AK Desert aka Pizza Map.

I miss it. It got to be too much when it was on for weeks at a time. But I miss those browns and sand tones. We need a break from all green and water.

Please bring Pizza back to the rotation soon.

I like desert regions too, but Pizza was god-awful.

You have black water?  Did the darker water not revert in one of the patches for you?  I have the light blue shag carpet looking water on my FE.

D'oh!   Silly me, I turned on animated water back when the regular water was still dark.  Had no idea it had been lightened since then.  It's all better now

Pizza Map was ok, only thing I didn't like was there were Waaaaay to many high alt fields. If they would just drop the elevation on the map, I would like it alot more.

I don't get too hung up on maps, but I wasn't keen on Pizza. The high alt fields were a pain but you could avoid them. It just seemed such an artificial layout with those three equal pie slices, more of a game level than a map. By all means bring back a desert terrain, but make some effort to make the map a believeable piece of real estate.

Hmm, have you guys seen the map called "Equinox"? Doesn't it    strangly resemble pizza map...

Loved Pizza map. the two things I think needed to be changed in it was  

1- having each country start withits own full slice of the pie instead of each country being mixed with each others.

2- some airfeilds in those GV valleys. I think furballing in those tight confines would have beena  blast
