CH mini mouse stick....Whatever:)
« on: January 03, 2005, 05:01:55 AM »
I cant use ch manager as AH has a prob for some of us with the manager. And Im one of those.
I have to use AH to setup stick which does limit me. I want to use the mini stk as a 4 button hat. Can I? How?

Maybe.
I don't know how. :)

The mouse pointer on the throttle doesn't have detents so I don't think it is possible. Three, 4-way and one 8-way hat aren't enough on the throttle?

There are two ways to do it, either by a simple .cms script as described in this thread or by switching the ministick from DirectX Mode to Programmed mode as described here.

Hehe .... NO !! :) I use the 8 way on the thrott for views. The upper 8 way on the stick I cant reach comfortably so I dont use it...

Thanks guys. I know about ch hanger. Just was hoping someone had done it in here already:)
And as I said I cant use the ch manager due to HTC not always allowing customers of CH to use it.

Thanks but that wont work as I cant use the ch manager. HTC has a conflict for some of us and the ch manager wont work with the game.

Long story but:
Spent 3 months unable to play AH. Had Skuzzy talking to CH. Had both blaming the other. Finally Pyro said there were probs with ch manager in the game for some. No reason why, but it turned out Im one of the people that cant use ch manager if I want to play.

Are you sure it's nothing left over from that hardware problem you had a while back? I just find it strange that there are users playing Aces High with profiles created in Control Manager, if there was a problem surely it would affect all CH users. I've not come across anyone who has had an incompatibility problem with Control Manager and any sim/game so far.

Well all I know is that the control manager is what pyro and CHMichael decided was wrong. I had been through the mill trying to get it to work and it just wouldnt. So I now only use the game to setup my hotas. I lose programability for sure. But I dont know what else to do. I had changed all the hardware and software on my puter but to no avail.
I cant give you names but I have personally helped at least 3 people in the game who had the same issues. After uninstalling the manager everything was fine other than the loss in programing ability... Im certainly open to suggestions:)............................. .Again:)

Hey Silat!

I use Control Manager and it's great.  I combo buttons to get views up at various angles.

I use a Ch F16 Combat Stick (usb) and Pro Throttle (usb) and the Pro pedals.  I can copy the map and send it to you if you want.

It works great and is very easy to use.  Have had no problems using Control Manager at any time in Aces High.
