Fruda, which application(s) are you using?  Not trying to come off like a salamander or anything, but not too long ago you were looking for advice to get *started* skinning.  How do you expect to accomplish a tutorial that covers everything?  I say this because shoudl I become motivated to create even a beginner tutorial on, say, layers, I would think that my l337 sk1llz barely qualify me as a fledgling noob... and I wouldn't want to give bad information to the new guys.

I've learned how to skin quite well without your half-assed help. I've almost got my P-51D template finished, and I'm starting work on a 109.

Why do I call it half-assed? Well for starters, there's the "look somewhere else" attitude when somebody asks for help or some tips. Second, there's the fact that most of the templates have no base paint or anything to really help "skinning noobs" get started. I'm not talking about you, Octavius (I haven't even asked you for skinning advice), though I'm not going to name names. And by the way... Why do you say "not to come off like a salamander or anything" when that, in fact, is exactly what you're doing?

And to directly reply... I use Photoshop 7.

I havent seen any of your work.  The only thing I've seen is a post asking for a tutorial not too long ago.  Not only that, but I havent even seen any of your work.  Now if you want to make it personal, then fine, we can make it personal.  I am merely a tard in the world of skinning and, as I already mentioned, have ways to go in terms of learning and other tricks.

Don't even think about pointing a finger at me or anyone else.  You set yourslef up for disappointment looking, no, demanding help in the first place.   You asked me online twice for a template.  You create one thread looking for a tutorial here  asking for a step-by-step approach.  Damnit do the work yourself if you expect and demand help.  How do you think the guys producing jaw-dropping material got started?  I haven't seen Nopoop or Greebo demanding the community to help.  Hell, we never *had* a skinning community til not long ago.  If you claim to have "everything down" and have the knowledge to put together a detailed and explicit tutorial, then fine, show us.  You should have a good idea of how many hours it takes to put together decent skin with your loads of experience.

I dont have a ton of free time.  But I will help someone who is willing to put in some effort and help themselves.  Hell, like I said, I dont even think I'm half-qualified to be giving any advice in the first place, being new to it myself!  Get it now?
