Well, since I posted this simple question, I have learned a lot about some interesting, yet respectable culture in AH2 MA.

Since the post I have had many good fights, and IMHO I have received good from the opponent who actually shot me down.  I still feel good because I could feel their respects rather than arrogance there.

Hoping myself if I could type any faster in combat anyhow so that I could send the message before he did.

to all those who had great fight with my fragile Val regardless of the outcome :)

The salute from winning side can be a double edged sword..

I have to admit I've done sometimes if I happened to duel out some big stick of the arena. Usually the said sticks absolutely hate the idea too. :D

Of course when you talk about skilled players they actually deserve the too.

Used to be everyone knew each other in online dogflight sims. It was both normal to send a and talk smack depending on the dude.

Nowadays, there are a lot more folks up flying around. New names coming and going all the time.
You might fight one guy now then not see him again for the rest of the night or week, for that matter, because of the size of the arena. He may have been asked to move to another part of the arena to help defend a field. Whatever.

My suggestion is fly and act toward the other guy how you'd like him to act toward you. Talking smack to someone has little merit. Put up or shut has more meaning in a fight.

If you win and felt it was a great fight an is in order. If the guys an old vet he knows what he did wrong. He shouldn't begrudge you for his mistakes and your win. If its a noob then he prolly thought it was a great fight, too.  If you lose and thought it was a great fight a is in order. Just remember some folks fight and move on to the next one wihtout ever giving a .

IMHO, Do what you feel is right and don't worry about what other people think.

Ren<---thinking out load.

BTW, old vets know how to get outa the way of HO's if they take one it means they were dong the exact same you were trying to do, HO....only they lost. D)

Well, tonight I've learned really a great meaning of from 2 very fair & fine Bish pilots.  So grateful to meet those people with politeness, fairness, skills, and on top of all their admire to the opponent.
Greatest fun ever experienced in AH.  Many thanks and my most respects to DadRabit and SEkeith.

As a matter of fact the Val vs Val dogfight was my first experience and it was absolutely awesome!

I've had people me after they kill me in a 6+ on 1. When that happens I will tune to 200 and tell them to NOT salute me in that situation. I dont normally tune to 200 and will tune one channel to a player to talk to them after a particularly good fight.

Some private conversations have turned into discussions on tactics. One in particular, I gave my opponent an analysis of our fight. (He died in an F4U-1D to my Ki-84) I also ended up sending him some films.

In the end you should be thankful for those players like us who switch to try and help keep things even because our willingness to do so, helps a more selfish, I want it my way player, get to fly his latewar uber ride.
